Worst and expensive move out experience
February 27, 2023[READ before considering this place][LONG comment warning] Move-out cost $1256.91 for an empty 2b2b apt ($300 so called HEAVY cleaning, $120 carpet cleaning, $561 stove replacement for normal use, rest are for wall paint which some of them were there since day1). The office has not been responding to our appeal for weeks, therefore, I'm not responsible for any delay payment due to the office's not responding. Heads up for the living experience: 1. The good: the view is great, the repair crew ...always comes to fix stuff quickly. 2. The bad: The quality of the unit is very poor. If you look at our long records of maintenance requests, we sometimes have many different things break within just a week. To name a few: the cabinet drawers were always stuck and fell off a few times; the paint of the cabinets easily peels off and sticks to our cookware; the washer/drier room door was either stuck open or stuck closed; the bathroom sliding door locked us inside multiple times; the balcony door and its frame are not aligned, causing bad air and noise seal; the bathroom sink leaked and contaminated all of our paper towels. 3. During our stay, Jan 2022 - Jan 2023, the community also had many disturbing issues:1/4 of the time the building is "renovating", there were weeks of time where the walkway had holes in the ceiling and on the walls. Contractors make a lot of noises during the day for all kinds of constructions and renovations. Not to mention the unhealthy odor from the paint in the hallway and the new carpets which were around for a long time. The elevator was constantly broken. It was out-of-service for 5 times in just December 2022. We have email records for all of its breakages. The garage has experienced water leaking at least 2-3 times, and was even leaking to residents' cars and motorcycles. There were also break-ins. Not to mention that one time my husband's motorcycle was moved without his permission. We have the email report for this incident as well. Century Tower, the above content has been sent to your office and reporter on Feb 9, this is very disappointing that no one is actually responsive, PLEASE have our case handler to response our emails (she said will get back to us by the end of last Friday, but she did not). Drama starts after your moveout
August 25, 2022I could give a zero if possible. I lived here for 2 years straight. Had a few hiccups but it was all fine. One of few places that I really liked a lot. I lived in the C2 plan. It is sad to give a zero star to a place I like much. The stay Office staff was helpful almost all of times. Maintenance staff response is mostly quick and responsive. Amenities are well maintained. There was a time when there were rats around and I complained a few times and it was taken care of quickly. We were on a ...month to month for last few months. We gave our 30 day notice but had to stretch beyond our last day for another 20 days. We moved out earlier than what we had payed for. They did let us know that they would refund back the whatever $ for the days we didnt stay at the place since we turned in our keys sooner than the last date. Seems like a positive experience so far? Then why the 0 star? Post move out This is where the drama starts. We just choose to get the apartment cleaned by the community vendor and pay for it. We had a pre-move out inspection close to 2 weeks before our moveout and minor charges were mentioned worth $500. This was signed by us and the person inspecting the apartment. A week after our moveout we get a bill of $1800+ for carpet, stove and refrigerator replacement. Carpet had past a 5 year life - meaning we were not responsible for any carpet replacement charges,.Stove had normal wear - again we are not responsible to fixing this. Refrigerator was claimed to have scratches when the fact is there is no scratches at all. When asked for photos - they could not show us clear photos capturing the scratches on the refrigerator. I also have a $600 deposit which I paid during application process and had 0 hopes that would be returned even before the moveout. On questioning the $1800 charges and why we need to pay for whatever the normal wear and tear which the apartment is responsible for , I get offered a 30% discount on stove cost, 30% on refrigerator cost. You are trying to bargain with the tenants seriously? So summary, the company lacks ethics, does not care about customer satisfaction. You will not get your deposit back for sure. In addition, you will be charged 3-4 times of anticipated move-out charges. Terrible Apartment Tour Management
June 8, 2021I had an apartment tour appointment at 12:30 pm, they sent a confirmation of the appointment via email, and I was asked to come to the address 1729 N First Street San Jose. I waited for 20 minutes outside the building. Tried to reach out to the leasing office multiple times and no answer. Finally, someone picked up my phone and that person put me on hold for 10 minutes just to say that he was not able to reach the front office and asked me to come back another time. After 10 minutes leasing ...manager reached out to me and she was like I'm waiting for you where are you? I told her I'm at the address where I supposed to be, she said I'll come to get you. After 5 minutes she called me and said I was not there, our leasing office is on century street, please come here. At this time I realized this is not a place for me because they don't know what they are doing. Wasted my 30 minutes. Terrible communication and management. I can't imagine what these guys will do if I need something fixed in my apartment.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Noise
June 25, 2019Everday at 515am, the buiding supervisor drags out the dumpsters, which makes a terrible noise. It is impossible to sleep throught this. It makes no sense. Normal residential pickup would not be this early.Review from Apartments.com

HIgh Profile Looks from Outside, Poorly designed from inside
October 26, 2017Management cares only till its units are empty, once full, You are on your own. To give a very modern look, the architecture is poorly designed and does not take care of individual units, so each resident unit and hence the resident is on its own.Review from Apartments.com
