Best Living Experience in the Syracuse Area
April 5, 2022I've moved several times since relocating to the Syracuse Area due to dissatisfaction with other living arrangements, and Charter Oaks has been my best experience by far. The apartments are practical and well-kept upon move-in. The grounds are beautiful, the location is both quiet and convenient, and I always feel safe. The surrounding neighborhoods are perfect for walks. The management is incredibly helpful and reasonable, and the maintenance have always been prompt, friendly, and there for me ...when I needed them. I can't think of any criticism of the place that isn't a tiny nitpick. If I wasn't relocating again out of state, I would stay here forever. Great apartment for a great price
August 27, 2019This was the perfect apartment to move to. We lived there just over a year and could not have been happier with the whole experience. Nicole the apartment manager is amazing, super friendly and very accommodating to all of our needs. Nicole is always reachable and happy to help solve any problem. Maintenance is easy to get in contact with, fast turnaround, and fixes issues when in need. We loved the balcony that came with our apartment and enjoyed the greenery in the area. In the winter they plow ...the area every morning which makes it easy to get in and out of the community! Wouldn't Recommend
August 7, 2019You get what you pay for. We had problems with mildew and black mold the entire time we lived there. There were several times during the winter the heat would stop working. The circuit breaker would trip every time you attempted to use the coffee maker and toaster at the same time. I would not recommend this place.Review from Apartments.com
Take a hard look!
June 12, 2019I give Charter Oaks one star only for the apartments themselves. When they remodel an apartment, they do a very good job. Now for the nitty gritty because you won't be staying in your apartment 24 hrs. a day. The buildings are not secure. Anyone can wander in. They are also not sound proof between floors. You can hear your upstairs neighbors walking, talking, using the bathroom, etc. The buildings themselves are ghetto chic. They haven't been painted or updated in years. The grounds, once you're ...away from the office, are overgrown and poorly maintained. There are broken picnic tables and benches. Garbage cans are overflowing. Some of the basement apartments can't see out of their bedroom windows because of weeds. The person that mows is a relative of the rental agent, so he gets away with doing a very poor and lazy job of mowing. Awesome Maintenance Service
November 12, 2016We needed a maintenance repair done in our kitchen. Marvin from maintenance was here in 1 hour on a Saturday morning and did the repair for us. He did an awesome job wit a smile.
