Beware of new management
March 8, 2026I would strongly caution anyone considering living at Chesterfield Place, especially under the current property management. During my lease, I consistently paid my rent on time and regularly checked my resident portal to ensure my account was current. Despite this, I recently received a notice claiming I had a delinquent balance of $16.50 and that I needed to pay it immediately to avoid “negative rental history.” This came completely out of nowhere and is a perfect example of the kind of ...ambiguous and frustrating communication residents have to deal with here. Since the new property management company took over, the experience has gone downhill. Communication is often slow or nonexistent, questions about charges are not clearly explained, and the overall tone from management has been unhelpful and dismissive. Instead of transparency and responsiveness, it feels like residents are left guessing about fees and account changes. The amount itself isn’t the issue — it’s the principle. Sending threatening delinquency notices over a small, unexplained charge reflects poorly on how residents are treated. Between the lack of responsiveness, unclear billing practices, and overall poor management experience, I would not recommend Chesterfield Place to anyone looking for a professionally managed apartment community.Property Manager Responded

Great maintenance and management
December 21, 2021I have have always heard back from management/maintenance within a day or two of reporting a problem. Problems are resolved quickly and effectively. Mold and bed bugs
June 19, 2021It has awful maintenance. Everything breaks and falls apart. Water heater broke and we had water coming in our apartment. After opening the ticket it took them three days to fix it. Then they found mold in our apartment and had to move us to a different unit. Now at this unit we found bed bugs, the dryer broke and we have a constant smell of pot that comes through the vents.Review from Apartments.com

Really close to school
October 24, 2020My life circumstances ended up with me having to move in the middle of the school year with my son. I was able to rent this place immediately and my son was able to continue to go to parkway central. Disappointed Resident
September 27, 2017If you are looking for a complex run by cold corporate people with no compassion for their residents, no ability to see past their policies established to make them more money, and no regard for the safety of their residents then look no further. This is the place for you! I have some very unique and dangerous circumstances that have me fearful for my safety and, as a result, the safety of the other residents in the complex. Police have been called to my apartment twice and I have filed all ...the reports I can file. I need to move to get away from the problem but cannot afford double rent. This complex and their corporate ownership care more about making another $765 off me in my desperate situation than my own safety and that of their other residents, including children. I offered to vacate immediately, forfeit my deposit and pay 2 month’s rent and that wasn’t enough for them. They told me their recommendation was that I stay through the end of my lease and just keep calling the police – despite me telling them that the object of my fear was a loose and unpredictable cannon. October 16, 2015I moved in February of 2014 and by the second week of March I had already called the leasing manager multiple times regarding the same problem. I also sent her over 12 emails that time frame and even had to have a conference call with Wolff Properties regarding this issue & I was guaranteed a solution it's now October 2015 & I talked to the current leasing manager today about the same reoccurring problem & she actually yelled at me & constantly talked over me. The management is phenomenally friendly and the maintenance crew rocks. Yes it is old, but quite charming in a first apartment kind of way.
