I moved to Chestnut Hill South in the middle of May 2025. I love my apartment! Austin in the on site management/leasing department worked with me to get me into my apartment with short notice and went above and beyond to make it happen. I highly recommend working with him. He is amazing. David in maintenance is also very helpful. All in all I have had a wonderful experience living here. The building is well maintained and apartment is beautiful. I lived in Chestnut Hill South for about two and a half years. The complex is quiet, the staff is attentive, and maintenance requests were addressed in less than 24 hours. Much has been done to improve the complex in the past few years, including the remodeling of the pool, installation of solar panels, and paving of the parking area. Best value I found in the Hamden/Dixwell area.

Apartments you are gonna love

It's our 3rd year in these apartments, so far I have never faced any issues regarding maintenance , staff etc. The management is very responsive , never faced any delay in maintenance. Apartment itself are really good, spacious , very well maintained, nearby marketplace and the view from the building is breathtaking. Overall community is very friendly. I'm gonna miss this place..

We have lived here for almost 5 years. It was a great experience... The office and maintenance staff are kind very responsive.. I am going to miss the community events. They work really hard to make the community better for renters like us. I am very happy with my stay at chestnut south apartments. Thank you Joanna n Lauri for the help and support. Great community with a supportive and friendly staff

This is our second time with Franklin Comminity and we just as pleased as the first time. Our updated apartment truly became a home. We especially enjoyed the open plan that allowed us to flow between kitchen, living, and dining room when we had guests and keep an eye on our little one. With generous sized bedrooms and bathrooms we settled in very comfortably as a family. The staff became like family members. They are friendly and helpful and were always very prompt responding to maintenance ...
issues. They were always very considerate in keeping things clean as they addressed repairs. We loved our time at Chestnut Hill South: from our ready made winter ski slopes, indoor gym and playroom, swing sets, garden, and pool we enjoyed living there all year round. We will truly miss the community events, including pizza party and mother’s day brunch, where we got to meet other families. We’ve had a wonderful time in our apartments! Sasha

"Hamden Ridge"

To be quite frank, I've lived here for the past 8 years, the staff is great, maintenance are on top of things and the rent is reasonable, but the apartment could use a lot of updating. it still boasts appliances from the 80's, older windows and fixtures etc. Overall they take great care in the landscaping and snow issues. I rate this complex about a 6. Thank you, RickO
