Christina Mill is a good home for a University of Delaware professor. The rent is more than what I was previously used to, but the University of Delaware pays more than what I was previously used to, so it works out.

Very promp maintenance! I had a water leak on a Saturday night, and 15 minutes after I call the emergency line the team was at my door! Also, the grounds of the complex are well maintained, as well as regular checkups of fireplace and appliances.

Overall I love Christina Mill and plan on staying here a long time. While there have been a couple times I had issues with noise, it was from outside sources such as people cutting trees down or installing new gutters on my building, overall the units are pretty sound proof. I work 12.5hr shifts as an RN at night, so having a quiet space to wind down at and sleep during the day undisturbed is essential for me. I never hear my neighbors because the units are so solid! I forget I even have ...
neighbors, because it is so quiet. The only time I can hear people is when I am sitting in the living room, while people walk past the door, close their front door or come up my stairs, even then it’s very faint and you have to be sitting in complete silence to even notice much. Granted I am on the top floor and on the end, but still I never hear the people below, across, or next to me. If it stays quiet like this, I have no reason to leave. I love the layout of my building, because there is only 4 units on each floor that share two stair wells on either side. This means the unit across from me and I share a stairwell and the unit next to me and across from them share a stairwell and that’s it. The units connected also are like this but can not enter your stairwell unless they come down and up yours. This layout greatly diminishes noise of people walking back and forth, because not everyone in the entire building shares the same stairwells. Once people go into their apartment I can never hear them. Everyone in my building has a living room above a living room and a bedroom above a bedroom, so that’s also great because if you are on lower floors at least you know above your bedroom is not a living room where there is likely more foot traffic. It’s in a great location! I have lived in a neighborhood 5 minutes down the road my whole life, so having my first place to call home so close to where I grew up is wounderful. Being so close allows me to drop my dog off at my parents while I work long shifts and pick her up when I’m done. When I take her back to my apartment she loves to go to the dog park and walk on the beautiful trails out back. The amenities are excellent and everything is well maintained from the landscaping to the club house, to the interior to the exterior! I love my newly renovated apartment.
