I’ve been living here for a year and I honestly have no complaints. It’s a very charming older building. It has a lovely vintage look. It’s in a great location downtown, but still very quiet and safe. It’s also very affordable!! Biggest perk is having ALL utilities included in the rent. The views are also AMAZING. The windows are huge. I love that you are only able to enter the building if you have a code. I feel safe here living on my own. Very close to USC. I would personally recommend it to ...

I have lived at Claire Tower for 2 years (my Sophomore and Junior year at USC) and it has been great. I love the central location because it is walking distance to all of my classes, Gervais street, and the State House where I love to go on runs. I also love that you can pay for parking each month so that I don't have to buy a USC lot pass to park. I share a 1 bedroom apartment with my boyfriend, and it is spacious enough for us to both live comfortably. We have large windows and great views of ...
the city. The management staff is friendly and quick to respond if you have any problems. Any time we have had a maintenance issue it is quickly resolved. For the price and location, it truly is a place that can't be beat (especially for a working student!)

Great place to live! Usually quiet during the day which is a plus for me given that I work nights most days of the week. i love that they conduct pest control drills every other week to keep those small animals away. Absolutely cheap rent for the location of the building. Ooh and the views at night are magical from your bedroom/living room.

Stopped by to see availability told on list but no guarantee. Ask for $300 but would hold. Found somewhere else and Ms Mack said never held checks. Refunded $100. Redecorating fee. The place was a wreck. A gentleman was painting!! Liars and cheats

Claire Tower is an older building, but well maintained by likable folks. Moving here from a strict dorm room at USC, I was amazed at how much better it was for the price (which is less than any dorm). The location is right next to the center of USC campus as well as the state house, so there's plenty to do within walking distance. The apartments themselves are a very unique layout compared to other apartments I've seen, with a surprising amount of room. Living in a studio now, I can tell you that ...
it is more than plenty of space for one person. Utilities included in the price is a solid plus, and I've yet to experience any problems with the place that 5 minutes of repair couldn't fix (so some of these people complaining about maintenance issues must have come from royalty.) The management is by far my favorite part about here. Their quick to respond to an email, eager to know you on an individual level, and as friendly as a small town neighbor. The landlady here perfectly balances professionalism with hospitality, and will help you with anything you need. I'd highly recommend this place to about anyone who wants to live in the heart of Columbia without breaking their bank.

Ever heard the expression about putting lipstick on a pig? That's Claire Tower--swarming with German cockroaches; frequent water outages; no security; unprofessional, unresponsive management; office seldom open in spite of hours posted. They are only nice until you move in. Then the smoke screen disappears. The place is a dump.

I moved in at the beginning of the school year and I LOVE it! The rent on my one bedroom was lower than any other place around and I was really impressed with how cute my unit is and spacious! I really love being within walking distance to my classes, places to eat, and too much to mention! I have also met some cool people here! Definitely make sure you check this place out! It's the most bang for your buck and it's really nice!
