As a student at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute living at College Suites at City Station, I’ve honestly had a great experience here. It’s super convenient being just a quick walk or shuttle ride to campus, which makes getting to classes and labs way easier than I expected. College Suites at City Station feels more like a real apartment than a dorm—having my own bedroom and bathroom, plus in-unit laundry and a full kitchen, is a huge upgrade. The study lounges and common areas are clutch during ...
busy weeks, and it’s nice being close to downtown Troy for food and things to do. Overall, it strikes a really solid balance between independence and having everything you need as an RPI student. Definitely one of the better off-campus options around here.

When looking for a place to live, you should ABSOLUTELY AVOID this location. I am writing down a few experiences I’ve had while living here. (1) Over the past year, package thefts and damages have frequently occurred. However, the office here has done nothing to address these issues. The most of residents have experienced package loss at least once. (2) It takes several months to repair things like air conditioners or refrigerators. I spent the summer of 2022 without air conditioning. (3) The ...
management is very passive when it comes to resolving conflicts between roommates. I understand that they need to take a neutral stance. But they will charge you for any issues that arise when you move out. Before 2022, this place was one of the best housing options in Troy.
