We came for a tour and we were really considering moving in. We applied and wanted to view the property one more time before officially accepting the lease. We walked around and really liked the place. On our way out, we moved the fridge to check behind it, and we found a ton of little roaches!!!! Not just one. Maybe 6-10. We were sooo disappointed. We really wanted to move in here but we declined after finding the roaches. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up!! They said they were going to ...
fumigate the apartment but those roaches are very hard to get rid of in a big building. The manager seemed concerned and said nobody has complained of roaches but we definitely saw them. They ran into the walls after. Giving 2 stars because the manager was very nice. Just beware and check everywhere before moving in. We have a newborn baby and definitely cannot live somewhere with roaches.

Colonial Manor is a great place. We have been here for almost 3 years and love it. The people are nice, it's very quiet, the courtyard is like a place away from the city. Our manager Jenny is pretty awesome, we really can't complain. Finding a place like this in the Valley is hard to do, we are happy we found them!

Our apartment complex is warm, inviting, and really feels like home.
The property is surrounded by grass and trees, has a beautiful pool and the apartments feel like a home.
The manager is really nice and always on top of anything that you may need.

I have lived at Colonial Manor for the past 3 years. My apartment does not have updated amenities. I do not have a dishwasher and the counter tops in the bathrooms are from when the units were first built. Other apartments have been updated with granite counter tops. Not extremely happy.

Ever wish you could escape the noise, traffic and hectic pace of life? Well, Colonial Manor provides all that and more. It is a small building in size, and once you walk into the courtyard, you feel as if you are in a little village. It is a security building yet you are entirely outside once you enter the gates, having to stroll past rose bushes, wisteria, avocado trees along the way. apartments come with air, garage, is pet-friendly and each one is unique. When I was looking for an apartment I aid to myself, "If I get sick again (am a cancer survivor) I need to be in a place which is healing and nourishing." I have found the place and now I call it home. There is not another complex like this in the San Fernando Valley. I am writing this as I watch Squiggles (squirrel) torment my dogs while creating enough shaking so that I will no have avocado on my salad this evening. A very special place.

When I first moved in here 3 years ago it was the first place i had lived where I didn't have direct contact with the owner/landlord so I was very nervous about that. I worried that because it was a company ,nothing would ever get fixed, everything would get lost in paperwork and i would have to leave 10 messages. It is the complete opposite. Jen, the on site manager is a superstar! She has even gone as far as helping me after hours with a water leak because she knew I was pretty freaked. She ...
is always right there when you need her and seems like the Energizer Bunny sometimes because she does so much. The common areas are always clean and I feel so safe here. When friends come over they can't believe how nice it is inside. I am always asking about when an apartment is opening because i know so many people who would love to move in! I travel for a living and never worry when I am away. I love this place and really feel like I am home.

The building used to be nice, but the management company has done next to nothing the past few years to keep it up, clean and current. They are very slow to react, if at all to the needs of the residents. It's a shame because it used to be a nice place with nice people when we moved it and now it is slowly becoming a worn out, tired, building with neglectful residents.
