July 26, 2025Yo, I stayed at Concord 1441 Apartments (1441 Detroit Ave, Concord, CA) and man, it was all bad. Mold everywhere, water leaking, wiring was sketchy, and roaches had the whole complex infested too. Management didn’t even care when I brought it up. They just slapped some paint over the mold instead of fixing it for real. Felt mad unsafe and unhealthy there. Tryna talk to management was like talkin’ to a wall. They wasn’t honest and clearly didn’t care about nobody’s problems. If you thinkin’ about ...movin’ here, you might wanna reconsider ‘cause they ain’t gonna fix nothing for real.Property Manager Responded

The place has Improved
February 18, 2025This apt complex has gotten so much better since the assistant manager has been here. Also the leasing lady is great! They have helped me a lot. Maintenance is great too. There are areas that need improvement. The elevator is dirty most of time. It needs better lighting on the outside of the building. Dog poop on the sidewalk is gross. The smoking has gotten better. Its a work in progress. This place needs a full time manager. Ive been here 9 1/2 yrs. Most of those yrs weren't good. Its getting ...better. The maintenance lady unclogged my toilet and she cleaned the inside of my toilet. I'm disabled so that wad a big help. Its ok here. Do not move here. If I could give negative stars I would.
July 26, 2023Cockroachs. Everything about this place is shady. From them asking us to sign the lease before we did a check off and actually saw the place (our apt was not available when we viewed so they showed us a staged apt) to the fact that I was right not to sign at the time. They all 3 sliding glass doors installed backwards. So if someone wanted (and could easily do) they could have hopped the fence lifted our doors and been inside. They never fixed this problem. Not to mention they did shoddy ...electrical work throughout our building. Woke up multiple times to the fire department in our building with burnt electrical wire smell in the air. No emails regarding it was sent out to residents. Also saw the fire department in because there was water coming through the ceiling OUT OF A CEILING LIGHT FIXTURE THAT WAS ON! Parking is a nightmare. Homeless people everywhere. It is not safe outside after dark. You can hear the EVERYTHING happening on the street from your apt. Car are constantly broken into. Oh did I mention the cockroaches? When I first asked our leasing agent if they had a problem, because I saw here in the comments that they did in the past, she wouldn’t answer the question directly and instead, indirectly, answered that they have a service that comes out and sprays. I should’ve seen that as a red flag. I can go on and on, and if the owners would like to respond to me, feel free, I have videos and pictures as evidence.Property Manager Responded

April 21, 2021The day we got the keys in summer 2020, we went to check out the place. When the sun started setting, we saw a ton of cockroaches in the kitchen and bathroom. Management was awesome and gave a full refund and flawlessly let us out of the lease. 1 star is for the complex. Management was 5 stars!Review from Apartments.com
Love this place
July 20, 2020I have now been living here for about a month , there is no Cockroaches , Mice . But there is beautiful ducks walking the parking lots . The Managers are quick to act on the behalf of the tenant . And while there was a slightly dirty carpet and stove upon move-in with a few hols in the closet walls , what do you expect . Much improvement
May 7, 2020We first moved into these apartments September 2019 and as many people said below they had roaches and it was pretty bad but with new management Tammy has put in so much effort to rid the bugs and I can say as a person who was constantly calling them to get our apartment treat the bugs are no longer an issue anymore. I haven’t seen a roach in months mind you we use to see one atleast everyday including the hallways and even the hallways are clear. They had Clark pet control there every week for ...months straight and they did mandatory apartment treatments and successfully got rid of the roaches. Also regarding the gates which have broken a few times ( some due to residents ) they have consistently been working they had to replace one gate completely.Property Manager Responded

Horrible!
May 21, 2019They love to claim they are secure but my car was broken into while parked in the assigned slot. The "cameras" are not real and per the manager the security did their last patrol was at 9pm. Being that I am a small female who thought she was safe at her complex that is not the case. I work until early in the morning and apparently it is ok for gates to be open all night letting random creepy people walk around. The fire alarm exit gets set off every morning at 5 am and they let it go off until ...7-8 am even with it being reported. They're rude and just don't give a crap about the residents. No one lasts more than 2 years here including the management staff. It's a revolving door with inconsiderate staff. Do yourself a favor and save your money. The roaches, broken down laundry machines, disgusting trash in the hallways and useless dog park are not worth your money.Property Manager Responded

Do NOT move here!
August 16, 2018My fiance and I have been living at these apartments for 2 years. It was called Terra concord and the management was improving the apartments because little did we know they were selling them. Now they call themselves Concord 1441. They changed the whole staff with people who are the most unqualified and ignorant staffs. I do not know what lies they tell people to get them to sign leases but they could care less about the people that live here. There are cockroaches roaming the halls at night, ...the pool was closed down for over 6 months when it is over 100 degrees in concord because there was health issues, the elevator was broken for over 6 months which they did final fix but it is over 1 month since the yearly inspection was supposed to take place, and there is mold eating away at the building with a huge chuck of the 3rd floor ceiling missing. They threaten to kick you out of the apartments if you do not comply with any simple request. They change their polices at a moments notice and inform no one. Today with no warning they changed my parking spot. They never sent a letter or anything to let me know just a voicemail saying pick up a parking permit not hey we changed your spot. Just take my advice and do not move here there is many more problems with this place but it is simply to much to write. Renter Beware
June 3, 2018My family and I have lived here for the past two years and there have been two different management companies. The first company that managed the place back when it was called Terra Concord actually did a really great job of trying to upgrade the place. They updated the clubhouse, gym and courtyard. The apartments were newly renovated as well so that was definitely a bonus. They really cared about cleaning up the place and trying to provide a better environment. A lot of the residents that live ...here are pretty dirty so they did their best to clean it up. Unfortunately, another company took over and the complex has gone downhill from there. The place is completely infested with roaches, which will probably remain a problem because of the incredibly dirty residents, the (extremely tiny) elevators are always breaking, and the doors to the buildings as well as the gates seem to keep breaking as well. Now that the apartments have been renovated they've really jacked up the prices and to be honest it's no longer with it. The rent we paid when we first got here made the headaches bearable because we got what we paid for. But with the rent increase, what you pay for is not at all worth what you have to deal with.
