Horrible apartment complex

My husband and I are current residents at Cordova Manor. Our apartment floods and we were told to go and buy a shop vac. Our A/C went out almost 2 months ago. They finally sent someone out here and because it wasn't fixed the first time we were told they weren't worried about it. When I contacted them about the issues I was told that I couldn't hold them to higher standards than I hold myself. Because they have trashy apartments and I had no choice but to move in here that makes me trashy ...
according to the owner. Do not rent from these people. They do not care about the residents and they will not fix any maintenance problems without a fight.

My son and his wife rented an apartment in 2012 at this location. During the tenure of their stay, they were robbed, and there was a fire from a working meth lab in an adjoining building. Within 5 months they had to move due the raw sewage that was coming up through the bathtub and around the base of the toilet from the adjoining apartment. The property manager refused to make repairs , or even discuss the repair, until they received the rent payment.The sewage in the apartment was so bad ...
that several of their possessions were beyond saving, including Alabama collectables. When they went back to make sure they had gotten all of their items , and to clean as best they could given the mess of the raw sewage saturating the carpets in the apartment , they found a crew there working to clear the blockage , so new tenants could be moved in. Other tenants had also told my son and his wife that this had happened before.
ADVICE; RENT HERE AS A LAST RESORT ONLY - BE SURE TO KNOW THE ALABAMA TENANT RIGHTS READ ALL DOCUMENTS BEFORE YOU SIGN - DOCUMENT APARTMENT CONDITION WITH PICTURES/VIDEO WHEN YOU MOVE IN , WHEN PROBLEMS ARISE , AND WHEN YOU MOVE OUT. REPORT ANY VIOLATION OF TENANT LEASE LAW AS SOON AS THEY OCCUR.
