It's okay
October 1, 2024In my opinion it's to over priced for it's condition. Biggest problem for our apartment was the ac constantly went out, and the plumbing wasn't that great either. The toilet and shower constantly clogged even without flushing tp or anything else down. Although if you put in a work order they would take care of it in a timely manner. When we first moved in i noticed the air vent had black stuff on it (mold looking stuff) the tub spout couldn't be pressed so I was never able to switch from shower ...to bath, and the turn table inside the microwave wouldn't rotate. The pool was closed a lot of the time even though it's hours said only closed on Monday. Also people would leave dog poo wherever even tho the facility had stations with bags and trash cans. The dishwasher was okay, worked well enough. Garbage disposal wasn't that great either. The fridge was a solid 9/10 never had any problems and was a decent size for a family of 2. Getting packages delivered to their secure mail box was a pleasant experience never had an issue with a missing package. Although we did constantly get mail from many previous residents in our normal mailbox. Best feature in my opinion was the split water bill. Our water charger was almost always somewhere between $20-$25. When we moved out they charged us a big cleaning fee stating things like dirty air vents in the description even though they were definitely dirtier when we moved in. I Miss This Place!
May 30, 2021I’ve since moved from here, nearly a year ago. I miss the office staff & maintenance workers. Everyone was always sweet & any maintenance requests were promptly addressed, even during the lockdown. Unlike where I live now, Kelsey never made me feel like I was yesterday’s news after securing a lease with me. She is a sweetheart & always took the time to talk to me & hear me out. I’ve lived around different apartments throughout the U.S. & this one stands out, above all, as far as service, value & ...amenities. Great place to live!
March 17, 2020Me & my husband needed a place to live in Harlingen for one year & I'm so happy we chose Cornerstone Apartments! It's a quiet & gated community with an HEB right down the street. We felt very safe & loved how well-kept the property is. Kelsey & her team made it a great experience. Also, if you need any maintenance, they are there to help within about a day. December 8, 2016JUST WANTED TO SAY HOW MUCH WE LOVE IT HERE. OUR APARTMENT IS SO NICE, PLENTY OF ROOM , AND IS SO SUNNY. HAVE NOT BEEN IN THE POOL BUT LOVE THE GYM AREA JUST FINE. Great Apartment Complex with Friendly and Competent Management.

The woman working the front, Sylvia, I believe her name is was awesome! She was a breath of fresh air compared to the agents of past. It's ok
August 25, 2015First of all, the PROs: it's quiet for the most part, maintenance responds to issues quickly, and the office and maintenance staff is nice. There's also lots of parking. But overall, I would say our apartment is so-so. One of the reasons I say that is because we have had repeated issues with our air conditioning. We have been here over a year, and the central AC unit (located in the bathroom ceiling) has leaked numerous times with dirty/rusty water (which stained our bath mat). Maintenance has ...to come and drain it and clean it. They leave behind a mess and twice I've had to clean up after them. They also track in a lot of dirt onto the carpet (2nd floor apartments have carpet to minimize noise). Not sure this happens in other units but we have had this issue numerous times. Also, from time to time, our AC will start to blow warm air. It has happened so many times that at one point the maintenance guy just showed me how to reset the unit so that we can get it up and running faster than waiting for them to come. Pest control comes once a month, or about that. However, we always seem to have bugs (spiders, a couple roaches, and some other creepy crawly things). We had to buy a bug barrier spray and sprayed the whole area outside our door and up to the apartment across the way. At one point, there were so many spider egg sacs that we had to go out around our door and get rid of them because we knew they would just end up in our apartment. Also, our microwave stopped working and we had to keep asking when they were going to fix/replace it. Finally, we got it replaced a few months later. The playground has been gone for a while now, so I'm not sure if they are replacing it or not. One of my BIGGEST issues is the laundry room. It is FILTHY! I went in yesterday and on the floor was a TON of leaves & dirt. Obviously, that could have just happened before I went in, but it made me notice other things. There is one bigger washer for larger loads and on that is black mold in the tray where you put your soap/fabric softener. The room is also supposed to be air conditioned, but they must not try and keep it cool because it's always so hot in there! So, overall, the issues we have may be minor to you, but I just wanted to leave my experience here. Bad management
August 15, 2015Bad place to live management is bad dont care about the people that live here. If i could only tell you the experiences that we've had here. 1st i got approved to live her then when i moved in they told me i need an extra deposit. 2nd we ordered new washers and dryers never got them. Finally we got them after living here for 4 months amd they were used. 3rd our ac has broken down twice since we haved moved her slept with no ac. 4th our sink is always leaking they've attempted to fix it at least 3 ...times amd still isnt working. It's ok...
August 4, 2015Well...let's start with the Pros: It's quiet. Plenty of parking. Any issue you have is attended to quickly. That being said, the number of issues we've had outweighs the pros. Once every month & a half or so, our AC will stop working. It was happening so often that the maintenance guy showed us how to go reset it e wry time it happened. On top of that, the AC unit (which is located in the bathroom ceiling) will leak (a lot of dirty/rusty water). This also happens every month & a half to two ...months and they have to come drain whatever is overflowing. I have no idea if any other units have this problem but just fair warning...they could.
