February 2, 2026Having leased in this area for the last four years, but being new residents to a Cortland complex, I can say my spouse and I are very pleased. From the application process to the approval, the move-in and how things were handled that arose — I don’t have a single complaint about our Cortland experience. Anything that I mentioned, they fixed or addressed it. Our unit is well insulated. Our energy costs are half of what they were at our other apartment and just dusting I can tell you that the HVAC ...in this place is so much nicer and better kept. It’s a clean community that is kid friendly, family friendly, and reasonably priced. I would 100% recommend it based on my own personal experience.Property Manager Responded

April 28, 2025For the cost of rent and the lack of problem solving from broken appliances and filthy apartments to billing issues! We were being charged a late fee on my rent when I had to pay by money order to move in! Not to mention dog hair waxed into the floor and painted within the walls! Also I was charged for a dog that we don’t have and I’m still being charged for the admin fee of $249! Their is better out there and do not settle for Cortland Avion at Shadow Creek please save yourself the headacheProperty Manager Responded

July 19, 2024My husband and I toured with Irene last week shortly after the storm. Her energy was great despite the chaos I’m sure she was experiencing. The property did not seem to sustain much damage and they, unlike most of Houston, actually had electricity! This really stood out to us as we continued or apartment search.
