Maintenance problems galore, including mold inside the walls. The lease agreement runs 45+ pages and essentially boils down to: you can sleep and eat here, but not much else.
I'm a current resident and will most likely be leaving within the next two months because of how residents are treated. And it's not just the treatment — this property nickel-and-dimes you at every turn. There's a fee for everything, and then a fee on top of that.
Package theft is also a serious problem, and management ...
doesn't consider it their issue — it's on you or on Amazon, as far as they're concerned.
We had a fire alarm go off at 7:30 PM — piercing alarm, strobing lights — and it ran for two hours with no one able to shut it off. The alarm company couldn't fix it, on-site management couldn't fix it, and when the fire department finally arrived — after being called three times — they weren't able to locate the property itself. If it had been a real fire, that's the entire property gone.
And on that note: they run fire alarm/sprinkler inspections every year that require entering every room in your unit to take photos. Which brings up another issue — they'll enter your apartment to photograph your belongings and tell you that you don't need to move anything first. I've never lived anywhere else that photographed my things.
That's not even the full list, but for legal reasons I'll leave it there.
For context, I lived at my previous apartment for almost 15 years without any issues like this. I'm genuinely surprised I'll only make it two years here, when I'd originally planned to stay a minimum of ten. It's also one of the more expensive rentals in Washington County, and I don't feel like the price matches what you actually get.
