Be careful- Very Bad experience with security deposit
April 8, 2021We lived in this company for 10 months in 2015-16. Our stay was pleasant. But we had horrible financial experience after leaving the property when we moved to India. While leaving the apartment, the property manager had visited our home, and had not suggested anything particular. We had hired a professional cleaner to clean our apartment and was given in the best clean condition. We had immediately moved to India. After 15 or so days, we recieved invoice of $1000 +. We were taken a back. Carpet ...cleaning charge was acceptable as there were some spots done by our toodler. However, what wae malicious is they charged whole apartment's painting cost on us, stating reason " Some Odor was coming from the apartment." After 15 days of leaving US, how can we come to see odor. We found their reason baseless and totally false. Being in India, we couldn't do anything but make payment. Worst apartment to stay with
March 24, 2018We stayed there because it’s very close to my work. You never know when properly increases rent. Every 3 to 6 months you expect an increase in rent about 150 to 200. My bike got stolen and broken the car even closed parking lot. Every alternative month some person knock the door and ask for money. You will be scared to open the door after 5. Beautiful community, clean, excellent maintenance, and management
November 4, 2017I have worked as a property manager for over 25 years. I am very impressed with Crestview Apartments. It is a wonderful community, beautifully maintained and has great residents. At move out residents are not charged anything for regular carpet cleaning or regular painting. You are given a cleaning check list and as long as the items are done on the list there is no charge for cleaning. McLellan Estate Co. is a great company has a goal of residents receiving their full deposit refund. The city ...of Belmont is very stick regarding no smoking. Belmont police will ticket anyone who smokes in an apartment. I have not seen any issues with smokers on this property. Real Disappointing
March 9, 2016DO NOT LIVE HERE! Crestview is only occupied because folks are desperately in need of housing. My husband reported a smoker who constantly smokes near our apartment. They did nothing about it and referred us to another agency. But this is not just a smoking problem because the smoker leaves cigarette butts everywhere and I see small toddlers picking them up and try to eat it. I feel sorry for the parents. One day, one of these cigarette butts will start a fire and there’s going to be a ...lawsuit. All the stories that our former neighbors have been telling us are similar: the manager, Jack, will just come up with bogus cleaning charges when you move out. He's real nice to you in front of your face then when you are at your new address, you receive only a small portion of your security deposit. One person asked for pictures or some evidence that validated the charges. He will never give you any. Do you love to pay exorbitant rent? Or donating your security deposit?
