Poor Maintenance

Lived here for last five years. LR Management took over about four years ago and maintenance has gone downhill. My AC started acting up about three years ago, and the maintenance people do everything they can to avoid repairs. If you are not home, even though they have spare keys, they will say that the unit is inaccessible, and close the work order. To make matters worse, none of the maintenance people are HVAC certified, they don't actually fix or service the AC, they use a contractor. But they ...
won't call the contractor until the unqualified maintenance worker "inspects" the AC to "troubleshoot" the problem. Last, you are never updated as to the status of your work order, except the day someone is coming out, that's when you will be called. So expect to take off from work/school so you can be home to be sure they actually do the work.

I'm currently living here. The neighbors play loud songs, and nobody is doing anything about it. I've reached out many times to the leasing office, and nothing has been done. I can't even work at home in peace or attend classes online because of how disrespectful people are. if you have kids, work at home, or want a peaceful place to live; then this isn't a good place to stay.

I moved in this apartment during Covid and really just took a chance on it, since I couldn't see it until my Move- In day. The process was somewhat smooth though. But as the months went on, I could see the integrity of the apartment deplete. Me and my sister live on the first floor and our upstairs neighbors were the absolute worst. The floors are thin, meaning you can hear everything above you. EVERYTHING. It sounded like War everyday in our apartment. We communicated our concerns about noise ...

Honestly , I loved my apartment. I mean it didn’t look anything like the pictures but it was nice . Laundry downstairs ( not in unit ) MAYBE that’s for the townhouses . No hardwood floors , only wood in the kitchen , actually laminatewood I believe . My stove went out and since I was about to move they dismissed the work order . If i could give no stars i would. This is my worst experience renting in over 10 years. Maintenance is absolutely horrible. My dishwasher has been broke for over a year ( I’ve put in several work orders for it.) and the entire unit is falling apart. Tile is the bathroom is cracking I’m almost certain there’s mold behind the walls. I have an allergy and I’m consistently sick. The walls are as thin as paper (you hear everything). I love my apt here at Canterbury Woods. I have no complaints. Also the staff here is so wonderful and very helpful at all times. They even go beyond their duties on making sure the tenants are comfortable living here. If they get any negative reviews it's because the tenants don't do their part. I rent a one bedroom apartment there and it supposed to be upgraded, it wasn't. And you can hear all the people that live in your building. A few months later, a big fire started in one of the buildings, which is normal for them because it happens there every two years, im sure they do it on purpose. However I lost everything and they didn't help with anything, oh they told me that I have one of the options : 1- leave, 2- they have two bedrooms available but I have to pay more. Yes. So I have ...
a pregnant wife and I have to agree to pay more and move to the two bedrooms. They let me sign a new lease. So we we t to our new apartment and it was a filthy disgusting mess. I went back to the office asking them to fix it up, they told me they have proirties now. And they never fix it. So I told them it ok I will just leave, they said Nope. You already signed the new lease you cannot leave. Long story short, I had to leave Cruz they didn't show me the apartment before I sign. And guess what ? They report me the credit bureau and from excellent credit to BAD credit. I just hate them so much. They are deviles.
