Ongoing Cockroach Infestation and Lack of Proper Management
June 19, 2025I’ve been living in this apartment for some time, and for over two months, I’ve been dealing with a recurring cockroach infestation that seems impossible to control. Despite keeping my apartment extremely clean, roaches continue to appear — in the kitchen cabinets, under the refrigerator, inside the dishwasher, and even on the living room sofa. It’s a situation that’s not only disgusting and unsanitary, but also mentally exhausting and embarrassing. I’ve lost count of how many cockroaches I’ve ...found, both dead and alive. This is clearly not about tenant hygiene, but a deeper problem that is not being handled properly by management. Although the office has been notified multiple times, the responses have been slow, inconsistent, or completely absent. The lack of urgency and seriousness in resolving this issue is deeply frustrating. Living under these conditions — especially when you go out of your way to maintain a spotless home — is simply unacceptable. It’s heartbreaking to feel disgusted by your own living space. I hope this review serves as a warning to potential tenants and a wake-up call to management to take real responsibility and act decisively.Property Manager Responded

An office staff memeber personally visited the apartment to better understand the situation and found visible food debris on the counters and a greasy stovetop. These conditions can unfortunately contribute to pest activity, even with regular treatments in place. That said, we absolutely recognize our responsibility in supporting you and ensuring this issue is resolved properly. Renter Beware!
November 11, 2024I just moved out. Good riddance. Any interaction with the leasing/management office is unpleasant. They treat you like an insect and try to swat you away. My chief complaint is that the windows do not open. And the door to the balcony has no screen. No alternative but having AC on 24/7. While the summers are disgusting, no way to take advantage of nice weather when things cool off. No fresh air. And bad for the climate. And if the AC is broken (as recently happened as a result of Hurricane ...Milton), the apartment is rendered unlivable. Kitchen hood is not vented. Just blows the cooking fumes right back into the kitchen. And no way to open a window! Alarm incidents happen every few weeks and ALWAYS in the middle of the night. Valet trash service renders the hallways into an odorous back alleyway full of trash containers everywhere. This concept saves the owner from having to put in adequate trash infrastructure like multiple trash chutes, while at the same time charging and profiting from the “valet” service. And s finally, very large palmetto bugs, as well as fruit flies are always lurking about. These slipshod developers do anything to cut corners and enrich themselves, taking full advantage of inept building codes to the detriment of the occupants.Property Manager Responded

Best Decision Of My Life
November 14, 2024I’ve been living at Deseo Grande Apartments for the past six months, and I can honestly say it has been a fantastic experience! From the moment I moved in, I felt right at home. The staff here is incredibly welcoming and always available to help with any questions or concerns. It's clear they care about creating a great community. The apartment itself is spacious and well-designed, with a modern kitchen and comfortable living space. I love having a large pool area where I can relax in one of the ...pool lounges, enjoy my morning coffee, and soak up the Florida sun. The in-unit laundry is a huge plus as well, making life so much easier! One of my favorite things about living here is the amenities. The pool area is absolutely gorgeous and perfect for relaxing on hot days. I also appreciate the fitness center, which is well-equipped and rarely crowded. Plus, the location is ideal—just a short drive from all the major attractions, shopping, and restaurants, yet it still feels like a quiet retreat. I’ve enjoyed getting to know my neighbors and the sense of community here. Everyone is friendly, and there are often social events that make it easy to connect with others. No!
October 23, 2024I have since removed a review I wrote a week ago but this time, I will not be removing it! On Monday, the management team said some people were going to come out from 9-6pm to test out the building's ridiculous alarm system as it goes off at least 4-5 times a month or more. I don't know if anyone came out to check the alarm system as it never sounded that day, like they warned the residents. But it definitely went on at around 330am last night. I am sure it woke up the whole building. Like others ...have said, if there was a real fire, it would definitely be catastropihic as there have been many false alarms that almost everyone ignores at this time. The leasing team/management cannot simply tell us they cannot legally remove them from our units. These alarms only cause stress for a lot of people, they do not serve their purpose. Management needs to remove these alarms and install better ones. For the $$$ they charge, they should! Plus, if they are truly concerned about our safety, action would have been taken and we shouldn't be having the same issues over and over again. Their action clearly shows, residents'' safely is NOT their #1 priority. It is not a surprise that some residents try to disconnect them. Management claims that is also a reason why they may go off, but do you blame them when you cannot solve this problem that has been going on for so long? Most, if any of the staff live here, you are not affected by this. But how do you expect people to rest when these false alarms constantly go off during wee hours? Just love yourself more and DO NOT live here unless for one, you like to be waken up 5-6 times a month, most of the time, during hours that you'll be resting. For the $ Deseo charges, it is not worth it. On a side note, Claudia and Mario have been amazing. Management team, stop making promises you cannot keep. Stop sending those meaningless emails. You do NOT understand the inconvenience of those alarms. If you did, you would have kept your promises many many many months ago. It gets old, even for someone who has only been here less than a month. If this is the way you guys take things seriously, it is a scary thought to imagine when you don''t. Wow, shame on you Deseo!! Who’s running this place
March 25, 2024This place is falling apart and it has only been open a year. Other residents are loud and you can literally hear everything. Such thin walls and management doesn’t communicate or message or email about anything that’s changing. Looks nice but everything is cheap. Still no front keypad entry, so good luck having guests visit or anything delivered because you have to hike all the way to the front of the building.Property Manager Responded

Gorgeous Property
July 21, 2022I recently went to look at apartments at Deseo Grande and can't wait for the apartment to be available to look at. The building is pretty and the virtual tours I was shown looked great.
