April 8, 2025 - Review from Apartments.comLived here 9 months. Moved in to a filthy apartment that I had to clean. Pipes weren't connected under the kitchen sink. Unfortunately, already signed the lease before I saw the mess and was stuck. Security gates to the parking garage weren't working for 6 months. The gates to get into the buildings were not locked. Lots of car break ins. Was locked out of my apartment twice and couldn't get help after hours and had to sleep on a couch at work. The hallways are disgustingly dirty. Go ...look on the 4th floor of building 2 because they will only take you to the clean places when showing you an apartment. The pool isn't always clean and was green a few weeks after I moved in. Went through at least 5 management teams and 3 maintenance teams in the 9 months. This fact should speak volumes. Moved out early and was willing to pay to break the lease because it was so bad living here. It didn't stop though. The final bill was mailed 6 weeks after move out and to the wrong address. They overcharged me. I called the apartment office multiple times to get it straightened out and no answer. They never returned my calls. When someone in the office finally did answer, I was told they didn't have access to the answering system. It's now a year from when I moved in and the office still hasn't fixed the problem with the answering system. Management fails to take responsibility for their mistakes. Got a letter this morning from a collection agency. I called the main office at Pelican Reality Management. Guess what? They don't answer the phone either. You leave a message and they will call you back within 2 days. I'm not holding my breath. Happy to pay if off and finally be done with this nightmare. Thefts & poor management!

If you want to experience the worst of worst district at Medical center is the place! They trap you with the pics and their office. They deserve a big zero!!Property Manager Responded

Car thefts are occurring all over San Antonio according to the San Antonio Police Department, not only at District at Medical Center. Management is fully aware of what is happening and are doing their best to remedy the situation. No security system, patrol or electronic security device can provide protection against crime at every location at every moment of the day or night. All security systems are subject to mechanical malfunction, tampering, human error, or personnel absenteeism, and can be defeated or avoided by clever criminals. Therefore, residents and occupants should not rely on such systems and should always protect themselves and their property as if no security systems exist. November 17, 2023 - Review from Apartments.comIf your apartment has any problems, the management team will not help you. Even big problems, that make your apartment unlivable, they wont care. If you call them to get your apartment fixed, they will stop answering or sometimes even block your phone.

July 23, 2015 - Review from Apartments.com1. The staff is very helpful. 2 - 9. There's free stabucks, valet trash, a pool with cabanas next to it, pool table, business center, gym, free yoga classes, free wine tastings, and free food events. 10. Oh, and everything is brand new. Downsides: Some construction is still being done on the front building that is not attached to the main building so it can be loud sometimes, especially between 8 am and 2 pm. - Disclaimer: This has been happening only recently.

August 16, 2015 - Review from Apartments.comThe finish of the construction took longer than was originally stated. And someone flooded out the workout center. But the staff is great. The apartments are nicely sized, but are probably the highest cost per sqft in the area.
