I love Douglas Apartments!!
January 8, 2026I am so grateful to have found Douglas Apartments again after selling my house in 2021. I have had the unique experience of living within this community twice, separated by nearly thirty years. I first lived in Douglas Terrace from 1993 to 1997 when I first moved to Rhode Island to teach at Bryant University, and more recently, I lived at 10 Tanglewood Lane from 2021 to 2025. Across both stays, my experience was incredibly positive. I especially love the proximity to Governor Notte Memorial ...Park; it is literally next door, and I enjoyed many years of walking there. Throughout all these years, the level of professionalism and care shown to tenants has remained consistently high. Any maintenance requests, no matter how minor, were always handled promptly. It is a quiet, peaceful community and it was truly a pleasure to live there. Although I moved recently due to personal circumstances, I did so with some sadness. I will miss the easy pace of Douglas Apartments, its friendly residents, and the supportive management team. I especially want to recognize Nicole McCreadie, the Property Manager. Her leadership and attentiveness exemplify why this is such a premier choice for a home. As a long-term resident of the area and a former professor, I highly value reliability and clear communication, and Nicole and her team always delivered. Excellent Place to Live...
April 22, 2025Recently moved after 4 years of living here and had nothing but a positive experience. Yes of course, you have a few bad eggs that live here but you will have that wherever you go. The difference here is any concern I ever had was addressed immediately. 99.9% of the tenants are wonderful people who make this property feel more like a community. Maintenance is very responsive with calls being addressed the same day. This is probably because Nicole, the Property Manager is the kindest, most ...understanding and professional person you will ever deal with. My apartment had been renovated prior to me moving in. Non-Smoking Policy Ignored – Cigarette Smoke Ruins Apartment Experience
September 6, 2024Some tenants smoke cigarettes inside their units every day, and if you’re unfortunate enough to live near them, your apartment will smell like you’re the one smoking. The bathroom exhaust and fans pull in cigarette smoke, making it impossible to escape the odor. Opening windows won’t help either. The air remains filled with smoke, and spending time in certain areas of the apartment will leave you lightheaded with frequent headaches. After weeks of exposure, I’ve even developed sinus problems. ...Although the lease has a clear non-smoking policy, management does nothing to enforce itProperty Manager Responded

Great Place to live
May 14, 2021I have not lived in an apartment complex in over 35 years so picking a place to live was a bit nerve-racking. Right from the start, Nicole the leasing manager was so accommodating and responsive to all my inquires (which I had many). The apartment had been completely renovated with beautiful granite counters in both the kitchen and bathroom. The grounds are wonderful and well kept. The people I have met here are friendly and the neighborhood is very quite. Great Experience
June 2, 2020I lived here for three years and was really happy with my experience. The apartment was absolutely spotless when I moved in. Neighbors were quiet and friendly. Snow removal and landscaping were well taken care of. Lipstick on a pig
July 24, 2017Do not live here. Reported repairs and service are cheaply done if done at all. There is mold in the buildings. After being a responsible tenant for 5 years, we did not get our full deposit back. Meanwhile, there are troublesome neighbors causing noise disturbances and there is much theft in the area. I'm seriously considering living at The Commons just on location alone.
