Basic Garden Apartments - Nothing Special
June 8, 2024My husband and I enjoyed our time here but ultimately chose not to renew our 12 month lease for a few reasons. Everything about this apartment complex is just "fine". There's really nothing special about this place, aside from the pool, but even that is fairly small. We lived in a two bedroom apartment and you can tell it's time to renovate. The walls, trim, and finishes all have the landlord special and the appliances really need to be updated. Our dishwasher often doesn't drain completely and ...the last time we put in a ticket for it, the maintenance guy said to just keep calling which isn't a solution. Our air conditioners work well, but can be super musty. The additional storage is in the basement of each building is really only the equivalent of a 10×10 shed and you can't fit anything big down there as the hallway down into it is super narrow. Property management has crews out here all the time so if you're worried about privacy or have reactive pets, that's something to consider. Lastly, we always felt like we needed documentation of every conversation with the leasing office. The folks that manage this place don't come off as the most genuine and we were constantly worried they were going to screw us over somehow. When the rent was raised significantly at the time to renew, my husband and I chose to rent in the next town over because we felt we could get more for our money (and we're pretty sure we succeeded).Property Manager Responded

Nice Community, Nice People, Near Everything
August 14, 2015Countrywood Apartments are clean and safe. You're within a mile to Interstate 91 North and South. Maintenance and upkeep is very satisfying, the management is responsive and thorough. Like most apartment communities, the walls are thin, and you know if you're neighbor has a cold or an argument, but the caliber of people here makes unnecessary noise here very, very rare. This is a great place for law and medical students who need the quiet to sleep in between classes. If you hear your neighbor ...coughing and sneezing, you might want to take him/her some hot chicken noodle soup. Love the pool, and my only "complaint" is that I wish the laundry facility was in the building, but the laundry room is kept clean and if a machine breaks down, the company comes in to fix or replace it.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Good location, Bad management
July 26, 2015The apartments are older but in decent shape. The location is good with plenty of stores nearby and close to the highway but tucked back from the main road. It is located very close to train tracks so you hear at least one train a day usually multiple throughout the day. There is also a sewage treatment plant not too far away that you can smell when its hot out. The pool is decent and kept clean. The management is the biggest problem with the place unfortunately. I was accused of not paying rent ...one month but proved that to be incorrect with bank statements. The snow removal and maintenance is poor and takes a long time.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
