Good maintenance, but very difficult management experience

The maintenance team was great during my time here. They were responsive, professional, and helpful whenever I submitted a maintenance request.
Unfortunately, my experience with management was much less positive. I had a very difficult roommate situation that made living there extremely stressful for almost a year. I repeatedly contacted management and even had documentation from my university supporting my need to change my housing situation. However, I was consistently told that they could ...
not help without my roommate’s consent.
This made it extremely difficult to sublease or find a replacement tenant and leave an unhealthy living situation. I felt that there were very limited options available to me despite repeatedly asking management for help.
I also had an issue with a $40 NSF fee that I disputed and provided bank documentation regarding, but I was ultimately required to pay it.
Overall, the maintenance staff were excellent, but my experience with management was disappointing. If you are considering renting here, I would strongly recommend reading the lease carefully and paying particular attention to the roommate, sublease, replacement-tenant, and lease-change policies before signing.

We understand that the roommate situation was challenging. Because this was a joint lease, changes involving the release or addition of a roommate required agreement from the appropriate parties and management approval. Our team remained in communication throughout the process, provided information regarding the available options, and ultimately completed an approved roommate change once the necessary agreements were in place.
We also understand your frustration regarding the NSF fee. Based on the documentation available to management, the fee remained applicable under the terms of the lease.
