  • No maintenance, poor management

    We have had a broken fridge for about 6 months, repeated service requests and trips to the office have resulted in 0 help. The kitchen sink's garbage disposal stopped working and after 6 days of waiting for a response from the staff, we had to learn how to fix it ourselves. Our dishwasher now no longer works either, and we've had a service request out for 2 months but no hope or expectation that it will be fixed or replaced.   • Poor management

    Don't expect to get any help once you sign a lease. The dog wash always stinks and pool is always nasty and cloudy. Mail for all residents are chronically lost. So not worth luxury price tag.

  • Fading Fast

    Once a great place to live, now we can not wait until our lease is up. I wish I could attach images. The trash compacter has been broken for two months. Managment moved a huge dumpster to the road I live on. It is continully overflowing. They charge 29.00+4.75/mo for valet trash and advise they will fine you $50 if your lid is not closed or if you leave the empty out past 9am. Yet this huge overflowing dumpster is left to sit in full sight of apartments. At least the local wildlife is ...

  • New Management Is Bad

    There has been a management change (this property used to be called Hawthorn at Lake Norman) and it has been much worse since the takeover. No online portal for the first few months, and no repairs. Most of the staff are cold and unhelpful, they seem like northerners. I would stay away. First few reviews here seem like the were solicited in some way from former residents at Hawthorn.

      We understand transitions are difficult especially when they take place on such a large scale. Once we assumed management of the property we physically notified the property on 5/16/20 via letters that were placed to the door. This letter contained information indicating that portal access would not be available for June rent payments. Online portal access for payments was made in available in late June for anyone to pay their July rent.     As a former resident, I highly recommend this place! Great amenities, over the top resident events and top notch staff! Quiet and safe place to live. Management works hard to provide a beautiful and tenant friendly environment. And there’s a resident pontoon boat...how cool is that?!

  • Things Aren't Always What They Seem

    Additional monthly expenses not covered in the fine print: Trash Compactor, pest control, monthly administration $9, water bill, etc. No snow cleared on walks or roadways creating an ice hazard for days. No patio or entry decor police. Mysterious maintenance moments. Community manager Facebook posts explain how she really feels about her position.

  • Hawthorne Apartments at Lake Norman

    Love living here. The amenities are great. Awesome Salt Water Pool. Not crazy about paying extra each month for valet trash service or having them pay my water bill for an additional monthly charge. Gym is good. One of the few apartment complexes in Mooresville that have attached garages.
