If you can’t handle smells or noise, look elsewhere
March 9, 2026Cons: NO cabana, no sundeck, patios are just ground floor balconies, no walking/biking trails (literally just sidewalks along the street that randomly end, or behind the buildings along the loud turnpike where no one picks up their dog poop) like they are advertising in the highlights. The pool is tiny and access to it is ridiculously pricey, not included in rent. Being in between the turnpike and rt 1 means constant noise and trash. Parking is a hassle if you come home after 7, even though you ...pay for it. If you don’t smoke, your apartment will still smell like smoke because indoor smoking is allowed, and property management/maintenance won’t do anything about it even if it gives you health issues. The dryers in unit need to run for 3 100-minute cycles for a load to be dry. Ants in the summer coming out of the floors and moldings, cold air coming in from windows and doors in the winter because nothing is sealed properly. Maintenance also won’t get rid of cat-pee stained flooring in our water heater room, so apartment smells like cigarettes from neighbors and cat pee from previous tenants (only applicable to pet friendly buildings, there are buildings that are pet free). Pros: even though maintenance does the bare minimum (sloppy), they do get to you in a timely manner and will be there in a few minutes if you get locked out of your unit. Apartments are right behind a BJs, dollar store, and nail salon. You are within five minutes of restaurants, Walmart, Costco, Sam’s Club, ShopRite, Asian grocery stores, and activities like top golf (need to cross rt 1 to access them). Our 1 br 1 bth has nice natural lighting. Having an in unit washer and dryer (even if it doesn’t work properly) is definitely nice too. Price of units is also cheaper than a lot of other places for the square footage, but that means don’t expect anything above bare minimum.Property Manager Responded

April 10, 2017Called to schedule a viewing because I liked the advertising images on the web. I was told they do not have any units I could view. How does someone decide if they would like to live there? should I just go by pictures? I was told I could go through the application process and id see it the day everything was signed. Really? October 8, 2015I lived at Edison Woods before I bought a house, I'm selling my house and would love to move back. The rooms are spacious and bright, the upkeep on the apartments was always wonderful. it was a great place to live. It is close to everything, every main highway is minutes from your door, two major shopping shopping centers are just a couple of miles away. And the quaint town of Metuchen is only about 3 miles with it's coffee houses and bookstores. I'm hoping to get back there!Review from Apartments.com

The location is convenient
July 26, 2015There are 2 shopping centers directly in front of the complex and direct access to route 1 north and south. Its quiet for the most part but there are alot of children in the complex. The walls are thin. I cant hear actual conversations but I can hear foot steps and doors upstairs. I've been here for a little over 1 month and have encountered at least 10-15 centipedes of all sizes inside my place. July 20, 2015This apartment is in Edison Woods apartment complex right off of route 1 in Edison. It's perfect for my boyfriend and I and our cat Leo. We have a large kitchen that flows right out to our bright spacious living room, perfect for entertaining all our friends. The balcony which looks out over a running trail is so beautiful with its tree lined path. We have a large bedroom that also acts as an office and an amazing walk in closet. Plenty of space for storage with 3 closets and a bright bathroom ...updated with slated tile flooring. Most of all the washer and dryer and beautiful hard wood floors made this place perfect for us.
