Horrible Experience
June 12, 2024There are always ups and down with renting apartments but Elara at the Sawmill has been my worst experience ever at an apartment complex. The management doesn’t care and won’t fix items until you present them a letter from a lawyer, there are constant nightly parties well into 2-3 AM with the police having to be called multiple times, the location is only a couple hundred feet away from the juvenile correction and county jail. The hallways are NOT SAFE! People have been attacked and mugged inside ...the “secure” hallways. Security is a joke. Many of the doors leading to the “secure” hallways are broken and several doors have stayed broken for 1+ years. Additionally, the hallways always have dog poop and any personal items left out (floor mats, decorations, etc.) get stolen. When I moved into a “new” unit there were several items that were missing, cabinets not secured, trim pissing missing, etc. Many of the residents I’ve talked with have openly admitted to leaving positive reviews because they can get items or “points” that can lead them to get items. Excellent place to live!!
June 1, 2024My daughter has been living at Elara since the beginning and was one of the first residents. The construction initially took longer than anticipated but the staff always communicated and ensured my daughter was taken care of. Once she moved in life has been great! All expectations were met and it was well worth the wait! The staff has been more than patient addressing concerns and questions from both residents and the families. This is by far a wonderful place to live while attending NAU. I ...don’t have to worry about safety or if the place is maintained which has been a true blessing! Thanks to the wonderful staff I have been able to relax knowing she is safe and happy. If you are looking for a place to call look home this is where you want to be! Thank you again!!
