March 10, 2026On or about the past summer I experienced a beeping with a smoke alarm on my apartment. On the same day I discuss the issued with Chris who asked a maintenance request to come and check the alarm. On the same day, Jeffrey from maintenance came and changed the batteries on 2 smoke alarms, the one in the living room and the one in the bedroom. I do not have any proof of that 1st request, since it was made on a Saturday in person, but I recalled it was during the summer. A couple of weeks November ...21, I emailed Chris letting him know the fire alarm was beeping, Jeffrey came again to review the smoke alarms and indicated that everything seems ok. Since the beeping was not every single day and was after a couple of weeks, I did not focus on the issue and continued with my life. However, on November 22 the issue became a bigger situation because the beeping started at 4 AM. I take very serious my rest because my day is long starting at 5 AM and come back around 6 PM. I want to be home and have a peaceful place where I can rest and do not stress about noise or other similar circumstance. On that 3rd request, I send an email to Candyda asking her to ask someone to check the smoke alarm because the beeping was waking me up an hour before I wake up and that hours lose of sleep was affecting my life, specially since the sound of the beeping is really loud and caused me stress. Also, was triggering my PTSD. I got a response from Candyda indicating that she was going to submit that request through the portal. I asked her to submit the request on my behalf and I give authorization to the maitainance team to enter the unit. On November 26 at 4 AM, submit a request through the phone and sent an email (4th request) letting them know the situations was out of control and needed to someone to come and checked the alarms. On the same day at 3:30 PM, I submit another request because the beeping continued (5th request). On Monday, November 27, I got an email response from Candyda stating: “I’m sorry I apologize for the inconvenience. Our service team member is taking a look at this now, I apologize I did enter a service request on Friday but I made a mistake and submitted the wrong apartment number I’m so sorry I really apologize. The service team is taking care of this now, please let me know if you have any questions." As you can see my requests have not been a priority for anyone.
