September 10, 2025My overall experience at Ellicott House Apartment was very good. The apartment is comfortable, well-maintained, and provides a pleasant living environment. The staff and services met my expectations, and I was generally satisfied with everything. The only area that could be improved is the furniture. While functional, it was not new, and some of the outdoor furniture in particular looked worn. Updating these pieces would make the living experience even better.Property Manager Responded

Great Experience
May 26, 2025Key Take Away: This building is a safe choice. Both in location and management. I would recommend this building ------ Wanting to be the change, of less negative reviews on apartment buildings, I lived 1 year at Ellicott House and had no serious issues or complaints. I enjoyed my time in the building, its location, and thought management was good (in comparison to the stories i read online about other places). If i Could have stayed in DC, I would have loved to continue living here. Biggest ...perks were it's location being close enough to the metro and the L2 being just outside, and the safety of the area itself. + utilities being included in the rent made this a great value. I had no issues with bugs, and my maintenance request were always fulfilled promptly. Downsides: On occasion, the water would have to be shut off, but this was only ever during the week and during business hours, when most people would not be home. + Some issues with the elevators, but they're are three so at least 1 is operating at all times.Property Manager Responded

May 5, 2025l did recommend 2 tenants and they left after 2momths .one was smoking and second had issuers with IVANA & DANIELA. and that was when l wanted to live too. IVANA PROMISED MESS MY CREDIT UP. They were making their own money. if you did ask for their so small tinny paper as receipts. they started adding late fees when l submitted my checks dated before the months ended. dating my receipts' the days they processing. Just what Mr. RONNY STARTED DOING. l will not pay any late fees only, if it is late. ...l went down to LANDLORD &TENANTS (D.C) presented my copies of my checks. l was told to go home & sleep.They all need to stop taking advantage of their power. l paid $750.00 for security deposit.l have all that l paid. last month, l asked one of he staff what my security deposit is because it should come with interest, he told me is $500.00. l only laughed. Pretty nice
April 1, 2025Ellicott House was my first apartment in DC and I lived there for just over three years, from August 2013 to October 2016. I was in a studio and overall had a nice experience there. The building itself is very nice. I did have some issues with the garbage disposal but besides that, I have no real complaints; management changed a few times but usually were helpful. Walking distance to Van Ness metro station and the L buses are right there. Close to Politics & Prose for all you nerds out there. I ...moved out because the rent was just getting too high but if you can afford it, then I would recommend Ellicott House.Property Manager Responded

March 8, 2024We have lived at Ellicott House for almost a year and we have greatly enjoyed our time here. The apartments are very attractive and spacious and the price is reasonable. The office staff and concierges are very friendly and extremely helpful. While we have had a few instances where repairs were needed, 9/10 times maintenance has responded within 48 hours and have been easy to work with. We enjoy the community that lives here as well and so far we have had an overall pleasant experience.Property Manager Responded

December 21, 2023When I get off the elevator where the gym is located, I am hit with a smell of toxic disgusting trash. That will set the time for the entire building. Let me just tell you. Those trash bins need to be removed. People live down there and the trash bins are overflowing and I should not have to smell trash when I get off my elevator that is slumlord behavior. It brings bugs and rodents, so I’m giving you notice now before I call the DOB. I have mentioned this many times and you have done nothing ...you’re not even keeping the doors closed and you’re making people breathe trash. It’s not legal it’s not healthy. Lots of issues in the building such as rats in the walls. Violence communication is very bad and upper management doesn’t know how to communicate. The owner of the company Greystar didn’t respond to emails which I think makes him a coward especially because he says himself how about she cares about his residence while he doesn’t show it. The building was not decorated for the holidays, and I expect Kate pride to be recognized. The pool is cold and the building is still dirty. The lifeguard doesn’t show up when he’s supposed to with Concierge is rude and there’s no decor or instructions for the garage. Management does not do anything to make sure people are not out on the patio after the hours of when the patio is closed therefore, keeping everyone awake so we have to call 911 to the building over and over and over.Property Manager Responded
