All Smoke and Mirrors
November 24, 2020The building did and is still going through renovations, but the units are poorly renovated. The countertops aren’t new (look underneath the island over hang), there are gaps in the trim, cheap, nasty feeling paint on the walls, the cabinet doors are the only thing that are new and the paint job is mediocre at best and last, but certainly not least Cockroaches are all over this building. Taking every precaution I could (plugging drains, sealing the door, cleaning etc) and the building’s pest ...control could not contain this problem. I am not exaggerating either. These roaches are huge. There’s nothing worse than coming back from a trip to find dead roaches on your floor and have to wonder where they were in your apt and clean everything all over again just to ease your mind. Don’t fall for the initial feel you get from touring, the unit sizes (they are spacious), or the location fool you. Also, the office staff are nice until after you move in. DO NOT LIVE HERE - COCKROACHES
October 23, 2017DO NOT LIVE HERE. This is possibly the worst apartment building in Chicago. I found multiple cockroaches in my apartment (I'm very clean) and they refuse to bring an exterminator in for another 6 DAYS. This is apparently normal to them and they think that having pests is an acceptable living conditions even though I'm paying more than $21k in rent. If the cockroaches aren't enough to stop you from moving in, the entire building is filled with section 8 housing which comes with drug-use, ...theft, domestic violence, vandalism, and more. Management is an absolute joke. They do not care about their residents whatsoever and are extremely rude. With so many luxury apartments being built in the area, this building will be more than desperate for tenants. Do not fall for their "discounted"rent deals.Property Manager Responded

Pest Problem - Cockroach
August 1, 2017In July of 2017 I found a cockroach in the bathroom of my apartment at Elm Street Plaza. I am a very clean person. Have never had a cockroach in any residence my entire life. The Management responded to my complaint quickly, but unsatisfactorily and in an inconsiderate manner as if this is a normal thing for them. Very disappointed.Property Manager Responded

Reliable maintenance, new gym,great location, unites need renovation
July 25, 2015The maintenance is great and most always resolve your issues within 24 hours. Right at the heart of gold coast with walking access to everything. Red line station is two blocks away and so are Routes 156 and 22 running to the Loop. There is a newly built gym with the latest equipments offering free access to residents. The unites, however, need a bit upgrade as the kitchen and counter setup is still in the 90s with no dishwasher. My studio is pretty spacious though with a lot of storage space, ...even without a walk-in closet. Utility room is clean and well maintained. Rent is a bit high but in line with the location; parking is extra $235 a month in the garage attached to the building.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
Struck Gold in the Gold Coast
July 20, 2015This Gold Coast building is close to restaurants, shops, cafes, and transit (both bus and the Red Line); you will never run out of new restaurants to try in the area. Management is friendly and helpful, and have been very responsive to any issues that I have had in the apartment. The units are spacious (particularly the bedroom and living/dining room areas) and well maintained, with lots of storage space. Common spaces are clean, well lit, and well taken care of.
