Great location, poor building security and safety
August 16, 2025I like living here, and if I had to choose again, I'd still pick this. The location is fantastic, and I like my little apartment. The kitchen for example, accurate fits a "luxury" apartment and even has a gas stove. But packages get stolen, and the cops have been here a lot due to kids who don't live here having loud parties in the pool and other issues. It also took months for an external door to get fixed, and we had homeless people coming through the building. As a man, my main concern is my ...stuff getting stolen, which drives me crazy since there are no security cameras. But I'd be hesitant to recommend this complex to a woman unless management becomes more responsive to security issues.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com

January 23, 2024Unbelievably bad building management. The community has a large number of people with no regard for fellow neighbors. There is a high rate of crime in the building. Rent is crazy expensive for what you get. I would not recommend this to anyone.Property Manager Responded

Dangerous Place to Live
June 1, 2023I moved to Ely on Fremont last June. For the first four months the water was rarely hot, I was awoken by construction every day, and then someone shot another person by the elevator on my floor. There is rarely any security in the building. In December, when I had Covid, a man was wandering around my floor pounding on doors. There was no security or front desk, the office closes at night, and I woke up to the angry door pounding guy standing over me. He had broken into my apartment. Luckily, he ...realized I was not who he was looking for. After he left, I called the cops. The NVPD were pretty quick and really professional. When they called me to say they had arrived and needed my help getting in the building I noticed someone was screaming down the hall from me. I told the police about the screaming and they found the man who had broken into my apartment had found the person he was looking for in another apartment. This man was able to just pound on doors and break into random apartments without consequence because this place rarely has any security. The pool was unusable for a month or two until two days ago and the spa is still unusable as of last night. YOU CAN FIND A BETTER BUILDING FOR THE PRICES THESE PEOPLE CHARGE.Property Manager Responded

Key on Fremont New Property Management
October 6, 2022Having your place broken into and being robbed is probably the worst thing thats happened to me at this place besides the new property manger not asking if I was okay or asking what happened. It was kinda rude of her to dismiss me and not ask or feel empathy to my situation. I'm really glad the assistant property manger at least emailed me with concern! I would feel safer if there were cameras in the hallways and in the back entrance. Since Elysian brought this property, they have enough ...resources to make this place a safer place. Also the fact that someone died in the fourth floor and there was a reeking smell no one got notified what happened. The body was just laying there for days. Unfortunately I had to find out there was a double homicide on the news! It would be greatly appreciated if the new property manger showed some kind of human being support for someone who pays rent here to at least be nice enough to ask if I was okay. Other than that the pool, clubhouse, gym, hallways, and outside are always maintained sprayed and vacuumed and clean!Property Manager Responded

The staff was helpful in keeping my application active and keeping in touch with me. Stay away!
March 2, 2022I lived at Fremont9 for a year and moved out in February 2022. If you're looking for an apartment, I highly suggest you look elsewhere. In the year I lived there, the elevator broke down regularly, using the key fobs were a daily struggle (often had to scan 4+ times before the door would unlock), the hot tub was broken most of my time there, the fire pits almost never worked, and management was a NIGHTMARE to work with. (Let's be real--a hot tub and fire pit aren't necessities, but the fact that ...they didn't work illustrates the problem with Fremont9--it looks nice, but it's not well maintained.) I can't stress enough how much I hate the management at Fremont9. By way of example, I had a 2 bedroom apartment, and they didn't want to give me a second key fob for guests. I had to argue with them for a week and fill out special forms (promising I wouldn't AirBnB the place) to get the second fob. How was a guest supposed to get in and out of the building without the key fob? And what's the point of having an extra room if a guest can't visit to use it? But their policy is only to allow one fob per leaseholder. It's constant issues like this that made Fremont9 suck. Similarly, when I moved out, I cleaned the apartment and left it in great condition. I even took a video the day I left to document the good condition I left it in. They still took my deposit simply because they can and they know there's nothing I can do about it. The final point I'll make is that Fremont9 is NOT safe. The only time I've been assaulted in my life happened outside of Fremont9 by a homeless person (homeless people are always around the building and I got hit in the face by one of them... I didn't even notice the guy until he hit me). Also, it was surprising how often I saw police responding to disturbances inside the building. The location is great in a walkable neighborhood and the buildings and grounds are kept very clean. December 1, 2021I knew this was my place when I first started apartment hunting, I wasn't able to make it for an in person walk through and the staff was super accommodating and did a full walk through with me on facetime. I fell in love with the amenities and the modern finish of the apartment, all of the appliances were updated and in good condition. The windows both in the apartment and hallways offer a ton of natural light which I loved. I have yet to encounter an issue that management wasn't able to solve ...for me within the hour. Maintenance requests are super easy to put in and are responded to in a timely manner. I was even locked out of the parking lot due to the wifi being down and management was dealing with the issue before I was even able to pick up the phone and give them a call. Overall a great place to live in a fun bustling neighborhood, and as long as you don't mind the noise of Fremont.Property Manager Responded
