I was excited to move into Estates on Maryland as I have friends that live in this complex and I know how nice their apartments are. It was extremely disappointing to see my apartment for the first time (no tours due to covid and living out of state) and seeing that it DOES NOT have a balcony like promised, many things were not working (dishwasher, washing machine, various outlets, broken window in master bedroom, fan hanging out of wall in bathroom, missing ceiling can in guest bedroom, etc.) ...
almost all of those things have been fixed by now but we continue to be charged for gate fees (the gates do not work 90% of the time) and reaching office staff is nearly impossible and they make empty promises. I know what a normal apartment looks like here and it was disappointing to feel like I was taken advantage of.
Overall, the experience living here is mostly positive. I feel safe, the pool is nice, there are many happy families that live here and it is very close to Grand Canyon University which is where I attend school.
My advice when you move in is to not be afraid to demand what you need to stay in the apartment and do not settle for what they provide. If your experience is like mine they will try to cut every single corner for their profit (at least that how it seemed to myself, my roommate and both our families)

There has been ANOTHER change in the office. They can't keep people in there. The neighbors are noisy (music so loud ourbfloor shakes) kids run loose in the parking lots and in the pool area unattended and NOTHING gets done about it. When we called the office, we were told to call the police. This. Place. Is. Terrible! Oh....and the gates are broken again. This is NOT a gated community.

Its a nice place to live! Office staff is friendly, maintenance staff does great work. Location works really well for me and my partner. Landscaping could be improved, and some of the hardware in our apartment is... alright but overall we have been here for a couple years and have been very pleased with our time here.

Estates on Maryland is a respite in the city. A family and pet friendly cordial community. Beautiful grounds with sidewalks, green grass areas, and dog runs. The swimming pool has a rock feature and a jacuzzi. A theatre room and a game room with a kitchen for entertaining guests. It's wonderful place to live!

Maryland Estates is very pleasant. It is well kept and the grounds are beautiful. This is a family environment with children and pets. The staff are responsive, understanding and efficient.

The community has some nice apartments and a good size for the price you pay, but the office staff has significant communication issues and makes promises they do not keep.
