13 months living here
September 20, 2021I was excited to move into Estates on Maryland as I have friends that live in this complex and I know how nice their apartments are. It was extremely disappointing to see my apartment for the first time (no tours due to covid and living out of state) and seeing that it DOES NOT have a balcony like promised, many things were not working (dishwasher, washing machine, various outlets, broken window in master bedroom, fan hanging out of wall in bathroom, missing ceiling can in guest bedroom, etc.) ...almost all of those things have been fixed by now but we continue to be charged for gate fees (the gates do not work 90% of the time) and reaching office staff is nearly impossible and they make empty promises. I know what a normal apartment looks like here and it was disappointing to feel like I was taken advantage of. Overall, the experience living here is mostly positive. I feel safe, the pool is nice, there are many happy families that live here and it is very close to Grand Canyon University which is where I attend school. My advice when you move in is to not be afraid to demand what you need to stay in the apartment and do not settle for what they provide. If your experience is like mine they will try to cut every single corner for their profit (at least that how it seemed to myself, my roommate and both our families)Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
JUST WHEN WE THOUGHT THINGS WERE GETTING BETTER...
March 31, 2021There has been ANOTHER change in the office. They can't keep people in there. The neighbors are noisy (music so loud ourbfloor shakes) kids run loose in the parking lots and in the pool area unattended and NOTHING gets done about it. December 7, 2020Estates on Maryland is a respite in the city. A family and pet friendly cordial community. Beautiful grounds with sidewalks, green grass areas, and dog runs.
