Anything else is better...
July 18, 2022While it might seem like a great place to live, it is so much less than what it seems. The gym is tiny and some of the machines don't even work. The pool is outside and closed most of the year and it's freezing cold. The AC in my room does not work despite my maintenance request. When the maintenance man came for my AC, he couldn’t even fix it -- meanwhile it is 90 degrees outside and I sweat while I sleep. THERE ARE BUGS. THERE ARE BEETLES AND IT IS DISGUSTING. Not to mention, theres a $50 ...recurring fee to use the package lockers (which they don't tell you about! so you get stuck paying the $50 otherwise you will never get your package). Overall, it really isn't worth the money. Go ahead and spend the same price at the actual luxury apartments in Evanston, or save your money and go to an apartment complex that is cheaper, same quality (if not better), and without a pool. Wish I could go back in time, but for now I feel stuck.Property Manager Responded

Our amenities are featured on our website with the outdoor pool one of the first photos you see. As with all outdoor pools in this area our pool is open from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Our gym has cardio machines, weight equipment and free wi-fi and is open 24/7. In Evanston Place's lease agreement all additional charges or fees are provided. Our Luxer One package system is a $50.00 charge per year. Please contact our service team with a request for our team to take care of your pest concerns as soon as possible. The A/C should be repaired as well and if not please contact our Community Manager and we will get it taken care of. Nice apt. Waaayyyy too expensive for what you actually get.
May 9, 2020Here, you pay for the location, nothing more. The pool is outside, so it's closed most of the year, the gym is tiny and if you are a student you have free membership to the Northwestern gym. There is NO sense of "community" as they promised, no free coffee and no good reason to pay the high bills we pay in extra for the rent. One of the elevators is out of service for a few months now (best time to spend time in elevators with other people is during COVID-19 pandemic), the pool and gym are ...closed but it doesn't seem like we're going to get a refund for it. Don't waste your money.
January 13, 2019-When signing paperwork and leases, management was consistently sending emails with typos, and even sent us SOMEONE ELSE'S LEASING FORMS WITH THEIR SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER, DATE OF BIRTH, HOME ADDRESS, AND OTHER PERSONAL INFORMATION. -AC was shut off in October the same week that the weather was in the high 80s-90s. There was no way to turn it back on. -Water is currently being shut off 9AM-5AM, from Jan 5-22. When the water comes back on, it's extremely cloudy and murky, and the shower will ...never be warm. -Using the package locker is a $50 recurring fee unless you happened to move in before 2018. If you do not pay for the package locker, your packages will be held hostage and you will be yelled at.Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
