I don't know where the previous reviewer lived, but it is not the same apt complex that I have lived in for three years. Previous apartment manager was terrible, but has a new Resident Manager has resolved many of the previous problems the last Manager left be hide. The blacktop driveway gets potholes every year, but the City of Excelsior is responsible for repairs. Sidewalks were replaced last year. There is no drug dealing in this complex, it is very quiet and has very respectful tenants. ...
Yes, the complex allows dogs, but barking dogs are dealt with immediately - it is not standed for. If you love dogs and cats this is the complex for you! The grounds are well maintained, great heavily wooded lot, flowers are beautiful, and on Lake Galpain. Safe, secure area with very minimal residential street traffic. Many tenants have lived there for quite awhile, turnover is mainly during summer months when school is out and families/teachers are moving.
Cons: No elevators; apartment kitchen, bathrooms and light fixtures need updating; sidewalk snow removal not adequate: short on outside garages. Complex apartment doors need painting and complex carpeting needs replacement or extreme cleaning.
But, overall a great buy if you don't need all the bells and whistles.
