Rude customer service people - trash everywhere

I was an actual tenant here for 2 years. All paid up, no late payments on my end.
When I first moved in here I thought it would be a great experience because like most people I was taken in by the title of "luxury building", the super clean pictures, and grand foyer entrance.
Don't fall for it. They barely keep this place clean. There is almost always trash around the grounds, the windows are thin so you will hear a lot of noise especially from the fire department and police, the place is ...
filled with big centipedes that get into your apartment even if you keep your windows closed, they never turn the heat on in winter except for at night time. During the day the heat is typically off. The water comes out brown from the tap sometimes, it's so bad that before using the water I have to run it on a white container just to make sure it's clean.
There is parking but it costs hundreds of dollars a year, and if you dont get it and if you park anywhere else you will get tickets.
Additionally if you have to move or break your lease even if it's just a month or two break? they won't work with you at all. They'll come after you for the full amount and then after that they'll look for every little reason to not give you back your security deposit.
They're a joke, they treat you as if they are doing you a favor when you're the one consistently paying them for living space.
Also when they evict a tenant everyone in the building knows because they put the notice not on the front door of their apartment but on the front door of the building.
You can tell a lot about someone by how they run their business or operation and this building is quite obviously owned by very shrewd, disgusting, soulless and careless people.
They don't care about providing good service they care about taking as much of your money as possible and giving as little as they can for it in return.
Rent at your own risk.

Recently leased an apartment from Fairfield Gables Cedarhurst Village. The process was professional and easy. The leasing agent returns all phone calls and was proactive in finding a unit that fit my needs. I am very happy. This building is gorgeous and I even had spoken to several residents prior to signing the lease and all had positive experiences. Even the UPS guy had said this is the 'best building' in the area.

I wanted to live here for a long time being as it is beautiful building in a prime location in the Cedarhurst Village. Walk-able to the train station and lots of places to eat nearby. The tenants are mostly young professionals who keep to themselves are are generally very quiet/respectful. I had no issues with noise (other than cars honking on the street). The Fairfield staff and company just in general has been anything but helpful in fixing any issues that arose. From a broken washer/dryer ...
(still has not been completely fixed upon move out), clogged shower drains, and the "fruit fly problem" that the entire maintenance staff knows about but chooses not to fix in the central sink drain line -- nothing is being actively done to correct the issues. As soon as I signed my lease and they got my security deposit, all of my emails and phone calls stopped being answered. Very unprofessional and disrespectful. The superintendent was nearly impossible to get a hold of the entire length of the lease. God forbid there was an an actual emergency. I would not recommend any Fairfield property to anybody. Find a mother/daughter rental privately and avoid these complexes at all costs. Renter Beware.
