Excellent apartment with the friendliest staff
October 31, 2019After looking for several months in Akron for a spacious, clean, affordable and safe apartment, I found it with Fairview towers. been living here for almost two years now and I absolutely don't regret it. The staff is very friendly and respond to service request within the same day. They are always improving things like the new gym area, painting the hallways, and cleaning the carpets. Terrific apartment living especially if you have pets
March 25, 2019I have lived here seven years. Great value for the money. Right now, we have first-rate management; interior maintenance issues are addressed immediately if they come up. The Tower has never looked better with a new exercise room and other improvements. The Manor is an excellent place to live, especially if you have a dog. All the apartments in both areas are very spacious, the neighbors friendly, the location very convenient. Check the apartments out before you go elsewhere!Property Manager Responded

New Property Manager
June 25, 2018So from reading reviews you might notice that there have been a few new property managers within the last 2 years (this is the 3rd one since I've been living here). However, there have been maintenance concerns that I saw go unaddressed for long periods of time prior to the current manager. She has managed to get a lot of things addressed. Beyond that I'm told she is working on updating the laundry room with new washers and dryers. There is actually a maintenance worker certified in HVAC now to ...address those issues better. Oh, and I haven't mentioned it before, but since she came she brought in some pretty talented (and experienced) maintenance personnel. For the price and the location it has been a good value, and I for one am glad to see the positive change. Hoping the trend of fixing things continues, but currently have no reason to believe that the current manager will not get these issues addressed and the building to where it needs to be at. For Akron university students, this is conveniently not too far from campus. Granted, you wouldn't get the same vibe as an on-campus housing unit would give you, but it is ALOT cheaper (costs less in one year than that housing would for one semester). January 17, 2018DONT move here family member has roaches been an ongoing problem. whole building needs exterminating for bugs and mice real bad! workout room always closed..washers and dryers always broken. hot tub hasn't been working for years. change machine takes only old $5 bills and is always out of money. can't keep maintenance staff. parking deck has holes in the ground that a small child could fall through. this building needs reporting to fair housing!Review from Apartments.com
Under new management
October 23, 2017We have a new property manager and her name is Kelly. You should come in and meet her. I know that the last manager had a few problems but this lady has come in and in less than a month has turned things around. I read the reviews from the previous administration and I know that when some people become dissatisfied it's hard from them to regain their level of optimism but this is a great place to live . Don't move here.
August 28, 2017Only reason I'm still here is our contract. Vicki the manager is rude and incompetent. Does not do her job and could NOT care any less about the residents or the fact that this is our home. She consistently lies and never follows through. I should have listened to the first gentleman I met when touring. I am a quiet resident that prefers to deal with the situation unless an emergency. And even then she ignores everyone. Residents are quiet and nice. Vicki makes living here miserable. I CANNOT ...WAIT until we can leave this hole. September 28, 2015I live at Fairway Towers and Manor in Akron, Ohio. I love the room that's in this apartment. The atmosphere used to wonderful when we had Ackenberg Owners. I just wish that the new owner would sell this place to someone that would fix it and keep this place up like it used to be. October 10, 2017I noticed that your review was placed on 9/29/2017. A lot of changes have taken place since the beginning of September. I hope that they have been noticed. For example, the lobby has new flooring and furniture. Also, security cameras have been install to ensure the upmost safety of our residents, guests, and staff. Hallway carpets are being cleaned along with other great improvements. Please come to the leasing office to say hello!

September 12, 2015Fairway Towers & Manor was an excellent place to live when Ackenberge owned it. The really cared about this building. Now there's new owners and they don't care about really fixing this place and upgrading the washers & dryers, putting new furniture and carpet down in the lobby.
