    I lived here for 15 months and was so glad to leave. It's nowhere near as nice as they present online. Maintenance staff is the worst. They take a month to respond to complaints and don't even fix things correctly. The whole building smells like rotting garbage, all my guests would point that out the minute they entered. Paying for a garage spot there is a joke, that place is filthy and pungent. The electric bill there was higher than any place I've ever seen. The cost of rent there is way too ...

  • A mom anxiety & false fire alarm

    I have been here for a year and since then i face false fire alarms everyweek . I was about to move this november , but unfortunately i got pregnant and my labor was 25 october 2020 ,so i did extension . I am new to US and fire alarm system . At my first week of coming home from the hospital with c section , the false fire ringed and i ran out of the building carrying the baby . This happened almost 6 times in two months and the manager says “ construction issues “ . Actually i have talked to ...

      We completely understand how frustrating this was as it was just as frustrating to us. The issue was a pump that was not working correctly. This was not something our maintenance could fix and with Covid happening it took a while to get all the different help we needed here when we needed them and with weather and Covid it was not easy. It did take a while to actually find the problem as the system ran though all 4 buildings and as we were fixing it the alarms went off a few time there also. However even though it took so long and was very frustrating we were still very safe and the alarms were working and now the pump is fixed and we are doing well. We apologize for the long prosses and frustration but we are all back up and running correctly.

  • Great Place To Call Home

    I have lived at Farmingdale for 15 years and love my spacious apartment home. The management team at farmingdale really care about making the apartment community feel like home. With the recent remodeling of the balconies it may feel like a temporary inconvenience but the outcome of a nice enlarge beautiful balcony(not just quickly thrown together) is well worth the wait to enjoy in the summer months. Kudos to Audrey, one of the property manager for her friendliness, professionalism ...

  • A complete mess

    February 19, 2020
    This place is terrible! There has now been construction for about 4 months, they literally demolished the balcony’s. You’re not even able to walk in the premise due to all the mess created by the construction. March is around the corner and there is still no update on when they’ll be done. You can’t even open the living room windows/door for some fresh air due to them being screwed in for construction. I do not recommend living in this building.

    Farmingdale is a comfortable complex with a friendly and efficient staff. Any service requests are taken care of in a timely manner.The buildings are quiet and you feel a sense of privacy when you come home.There are trees for a pleasant view.

  • Poorly Managed

    July 18, 2016
    I live in this complex and it is far from luxury. The common areas (hallways, storage and garages) smell like hot garbage. The carpets in the hallway and walls are stained and damaged. The elevators go out at least 1x per week and locks to the external doors are regularly broken by kids who want to duck into the stairwells to smoke. The Management seems to be pouring money into new signage and flags, but they aren't doing anything about infrastructure repairs that keep their residents safe.

    Our landlord was selling the house we've lived in for 9 years and gave us 30 days to vacate. I could not believe how smooth the process was from the initial application to the actual move-in. The unit is HUGE, the walk-in closets are larger than some bathrooms. I've never been in an apartment unit with this much closet space.
