Beware of this complex’s move out procedures!!
June 25, 2020After living in Fenwyck for almost 2 years I am utterly disappointed in how this complex managed their move out procedures. For starter, a move-out walk thru was not offered at any point. According to the staff, carpeting in their units are only changed out every 5 YEARS! GROSS when you have multiple occupants in a 5 year span. Carpet cleaning does not thoroughly treat the padding under carpet. Unlike other apartments complex’s which account for normal wear and tear this complex does not. The ...stain in the carpet were extremely minimal and could have been treated which they “claim” happened but from the picture I was sent of the supposed “damage” I could tell it was not. And as a result I was charged $1,000 to replace the carpeting. Though the units are nice please beware of how this apartment complex conducts move outs.Property Manager Responded
July 2, 2020We’re disheartened to learn you are not satisfied with your experience. According to our records, we offered a move-out walkthrough, but it was declined. We happily provide walkthroughs with residents and apologize for any confusion. The carpet is designed to have a lifespan of five years with normal wear and tear. Our flooring contractor evaluated the carpet at move-out and suggested replacement due to the damages found. As the carpet was new at the time of your move-in, you were charged the prorated cost to replace it. We are sorry you experienced issues with the gate. When occasional misuse causes a malfunction, we work swiftly to return them to full operation. We are pleased you found our homes nice and would be glad to speak with you again regarding the charges billed to your account. Please don't hesitate to contact us to discuss these matters further.

Amazing views and Amenites
September 25, 2018My husband and I just moved here, and we LOVE it!!! Our view of the pool is not only peaceful its beautiful at night. We were looking for a senior community but this place was more our speed as for being too young to be old. our kids like the fact its gated and our grandkids love taking walks around the lake and pool area. the leasing ladies are super helpful and always super sweet when ever we have questions. I LOVE IT

Pet Friendly Community
March 6, 2018I am new to VA just got stationed here and I did a lot of research before deciding where to live. I really wanted a space that was pet friendly and safe and easy access to the interstate. Fenwyck was suggested to me from a military friend and after meeting the staff and touring the property it was obvious this was going to be home. I have been here since November an this where I tell everyone to move. My husky has 2 dog parks to play in, its gated which nice not anyone can just come over, and its ...super close to the interstate. My neighbors are all great and friendly. and the staff here is amazing. If I have ever needed to call for maintenance for like the disposal or new light bulb they come out immediately same day service. I highly recommend it.Property Manager Responded

February 27, 2018I have lived here 3 years and absolutely LOVE IT. I could not think of a better place to live. I have lived in the townhouse and the apartments I love them both it just depends on your needs of space. The office staff is amazing and prompt. The grounds are always well kept the pools are amazing and fun in the summer time, its a great way to connect with your neighbors and grill out. The maintenance staff is so friendly, every morning before school they greet my son and wish him well. As a female ...sometimes certain things still get us -- like killing spiders-- , one day I had one outside my door and ran to the parking lot, one of the maintenance guys saw , me and the deer in head-lights look on my face and laughed, he said- I got you, let's go back, he killed the spider, sprayed the door and walk-way and then told the girls in the office to call pest control as a back up. To live in such a beautiful community and have such amazing staff servicing the community it feels good to say this is home and I love telling everyone this is where I live, it's literally something to be proud of. My lease is up in March, I plan on staying... AGAIN : )Property Manager Responded

The worst apartment I have ever lived in.
June 20, 2017Excluding Lauren the front office is horrible. The manager is unprofessional and extremely rude when talking with anyone who complains. I understand that when you live in an apartment you will hear your neighbors but I shouldn't be able to hear them open the microwave, close the microwave, and then push buttons for the microwave. I shouldn't be able to hear you in your bedroom and bathroom. I should be able to park in front of my apartment instead of two complexes down and walk in darkness ...because you never know if the lights work correctly. They recently changed managers and the old manager at least was nice but the one now doesn't care how she talks to customers or hasn't realized she is in a customer service position. I have talked to several people since moving and they had the same issues or worse.Property Manager Responded

Our entire staff are trained to treat every resident with courtesy and respect, and we apologize if your experience differed. We ask our residents to be mindful of the fact they live in spaces with shared walls. While some sounds travel easily, we are always happy to investigate if you believe you are suffering from excessive noise levels. We don’t have assigned parking, but we offer the option of renting a personal garage which includes space in front of the garage for parking as well. At this time, we have no reports of any lights being out around our community. If you see a light that is not in working order, please let us know and we will promptly have it repaired. We would love to improve your experience at Fenwyck Manor and your opinion of our cherished community. March 8, 2017We have lived at Fenwyck Manor for over a year an ahalf and we love it ! The staff goes over and beyond to meet the needs of there tenants as well as maintainece ! Fenwyck Manor is a wonderful place to live and exceeds our expectations daily ! The apartments /town homes which we've lived in both but recently down sized are amazing and well worth the price of rent I feel as though they are the most affordable and you get more space for your money! Beautiful on the inside and out!
November 22, 2016I have nothing bad to say about this community! I moved in a couple months ago and I still can't get over how beautiful it is here. The maintenance is very attentive and quick with completing any issues I have. They even called to make sure everything was fixed properly and working for me. The office staff is sweet and kind through the whole moving process, and continues to be after moving in. Happy Family
January 23, 2016We've lived in Fenwyck for almost 3 years now and are very satisfied. The property is beautiful, amenities are great, office staff and maintenance are professional and respond promptly to all requests, and most of the neighbors are very pleasant. My only complaint is the gate acting up every now and then, but otherwise we did not experience any major issues. I wish it was more children friendly with a playground, but that's really the only thing I would change.Property Manager Responded
