Renters Beware! Don’t Waste Your Money

RENTERS BEWARE!!! Do NOT waste your time or money renting from this complex. We have been here all of 2 months and have sped up our house search so we can get out! We initially liked the quiet of the neighborhood and the layout of the apartments. We moved in November, and by December I found black mold growing in our infant sons bedroom closet from a water leak behind the wall. My son has Down Syndrome and had open heart surgery at 6 weeks and has a number of other medical issues, so if he ...
becomes ill, he ends up in the hospital. When I called about the mold, they were not concerned. The maintenance man that eventually came to inspect tried to pass it off as "the beginnings of mildew" and cleaned it without a mask or any precautions. I showed the pictures to multiple contractors and my uncle who lays carpets, and every one of them said it was black mold, as any fool can see. My son and I had to vacate the apartment for the entire week before Christmas because his pediatrician was concerned about his health now that the spores were definitely in the air. The complex agreed to deep clean the carpets and check under them for mold, but they didn't check under the carpets. We bought an air purifier and have just been hoping and praying it'll be ok now. Not even a week later, we come home from Christmas to find a wall in our garage has split in the middle, and has what looks like a foot hole in the bottom! We could see into our neighbors garage, and the dry wall was so loose, anyone could have given it a small push and entered our garage and home. It took maintenance over a week to "fix" it, with something that looks like duct tape (it's not, but it's sticky and when you touch it and pull your finger away, you can hear the reverberations in the neighbors garage, so it's clearly not thick or super secure). Fast forward to tonight, we hear a crash at our front door which makes our dog start growling as if someone's trying to enter. Nope, just some metal siding that flew off the side of the building and hit our door! That siding has been loose since we moved in, and they've done nothing about it. This place does not care about the safety of its residence, and the maintenance work is a joke. I HIGHLY recommend you look elsewhere and DO NOT rent from Fieldstone. Worst mistake we have EVER made.

Good place

My wife and I moved here from the north side, after having moved from Oregon. The staff, especially Olivia, were easy to work with and helped us out getting set up and settled. The apartment is very spacious and so far everything seems pretty high quality, especially for an apartment. The price is pretty good for the quality and location, plus the general friendliness of the staff and other residents.

I am currently a resident at Fieldstone Apartments and have lived in 2 different apartments. I love the area and the staff have helped me alot. I always wish for more than what I get but for the price the area is great, close to everything and the apartments are nice and spacious.

Great, Safe Place to Live

I have lived her 3 months and love it. I scoured apartments in the area and this is by far the best. This is my first apartment and I could not have had a better experience. Melanie was beyond helpful and kind in helping me get into an apartment. Neighbors are nice and it is pretty quiet. I live right by the playground and it is never super busy/noisy. The grounds are always well kept and maintenance has always been fast, respectful, and they get the job done. Super happy here!

This is a wonderful apartment complex. Melanie was very friendly and efficient and got me into my apartment on short notice. Nice location, nice layout. My dog loves it too. I had a few repair issues when I moved in and they were addressed promptly.

Gated community, apartments offer a lot of space, dogs are welcome, most walls are concrete to help with noise reduction, heat/cold. Play area for small children, but there's very few small kids. Most are older kids. Wish they had a basketball court, pool, and a area for dogs to run & play off leash. Cost is high, for not having activities to do. If we had activities to do, I believe people would live here longer, make friends with their neighbors.

Great layout

This has been the best experience of first time apartment living. The complex is well maintained. Maintenance is very prompt and excellent work. My ground level sitting area is very well maintained and a great place to relax and unwind. The best feature and deciding feature for me is the attached garage that leads right into my kitchen area. No more getting wet or clearing my car off (of snow or ice) in the early morning
