Water leaks, mold, emergencies
September 15, 2022The rent is affordable, the community is secluded and quiet, and the location is unbeatable... but I’ve had problem after problem since moving in 6 months ago. -a week after moving in, my living room flooded during a storm and it took days for anyone to attempt to figure it out. -my bathroom had a water leak that took 3 months to fix because management didn’t believe the issue was real and then they kept slapping bandaids on it when they realized I wasn’t lying or exaggerating. Don’t even get ...me started on how high my utility bills were and how much I had to fight that. -There is clearly mold in my bathroom and I have symptoms of mold exposure but I’m forced to live like this because management ignored my concerns. -my toilet stopped working and it took 30 hours for someone to come over and replace the necessary part. Here we are today, and management has the audacity to send emails threatening residents to keep their patios and the community clean, yet they literally dumped someone’s belongings in the parking lot and when questioned, they said “we will get to it when we get to it”. TLDR; This place is a joke. They don’t treat emergencies as such, and treat you like a burden instead. Willie (maintenance) is very friendly and efficient when he’s here, but you have to be extremely persistent in order for management to send help. If you choose to live here, take photos and keep a written log of all of your belongings for insurance purposes. Ive really enjoyed living here and if it weren't for a change in job in Houston I would have continued living here, I'm sad to leave it. Great place to live
March 25, 2021Ive lived here once before and loved it so much that I ended up moving back! The apartments are spacious and have great views of the forest nearby. Management is really awesome and super friendly, especially Andrea! I honestly wouldn't want to live anywhere else in Austin, this place feels like home the moment you move in. The fellow residents are very friendly too! Also I love the parking here, I never have to drive around for a spot and dont have to worry about my friends getting towed like at ...other apartment complexes in the area. I love walking around this complex its really quiet and peaceful and the creekside area is absolutely beautiful. September 26, 2019I moved to Forest Creek Apartments in June 2019 from North Austin. I’ve been in Austin for over 2 years and have lived in 3 different apartments and this one is the only one I’ve ever felt really at home. The office is very kind and you can tell they want to help you as much as possible. The neighbors are great and I love how we look out for one another. Loving it!
August 16, 2019I recently moved to Forest Creek Apartments and am very happy I did! My lease was up at my old complex, and I was looking for a better value while hoping to stay in the same neighborhood (Sherwood Oaks). The apartments are spacious and you also have a patio area for hanging out, gardening etc. The grounds are well, like a Forest, since the Blunn Creek Preserve is literally across the street (great for hiking and getting out in nature, just outside your door), and part of it runs across the ...property. Location-wise you are minutes from downtown and all the entertainment/food options/HEB etc on and near SoCo, but far enough away that you don't feel affected by the traffic and things that can accompany that area. St. Edwards is very close too, and also easy access to I35. The ladies in the office are super friendly and helpful, as is the maintenance staff. And the other residents that i've met so far have all been awesome. It's lovely here
June 7, 2016I've been living at Forest Creek Apartments for 2.5 years and I refer people here all the time. The greenspace around it is so serene, and it's only a block away to the Blunn Creek preserve where you can get in nature super quickly. I love how convenient this location is to everything! The freeways are close but not so close that you can hear them. The staff are always positive and very helpful, and the maintenance team takes care of anything that comes up very quickly. The layout of the 2 ...bedrooms makes it really to share space with a roomate, since both people have their own bathrooms. October 5, 2015Forest Creek Village is a hidden gem among Austin, especially when it comes to the 78704 zip code. Despite being next door to a college and just a few blocks away from IH-35 it has always been a super peaceful and relaxed. My apartment has an amazing view of Blunn Creek from our porch where we get to watch various wildlife. My favorite are the fireflies at night. When we had our big rains during the spring, that washed a lot of trash down the creek, the complex organized a clean up. They really ...value how their quaint little complex looks. The staff has always been amazing, and whenever a new furry friend is becoming part of your family, they love meeting them. Speaking of, this complex does not have a breed or size restriction policy on dogs! Austin is a big rescue town, and being able to give a pet a forever home with you while living in an apartment - all that's required is an interview! The staff is also super prompt when it comes to maintenance. The building is a bit older so things happen, but when it does happen, the staff is there for you. We had one of the bathrooms flood in our apartment, and the staff did all the clean up - all the furniture moving - to make sure we had a clean place to live. Life is taking me other places in life, and I'm going to be sad to leave this place. After a year and half of living here, I had really started to settle in. It's an easy place to comfortable in.
