The rent is affordable, the community is secluded and quiet, and the location is unbeatable... but I’ve had problem after problem since moving in 6 months ago.
-a week after moving in, my living room flooded during a storm and it took days for anyone to attempt to figure it out.
-my bathroom had a water leak that took 3 months to fix because management didn’t believe the issue was real and then they kept slapping bandaids on it when they realized I wasn’t lying or exaggerating. Don’t even get ...
me started on how high my utility bills were and how much I had to fight that.
-There is clearly mold in my bathroom and I have symptoms of mold exposure but I’m forced to live like this because management ignored my concerns.
-my toilet stopped working and it took 30 hours for someone to come over and replace the necessary part.
Here we are today, and management has the audacity to send emails threatening residents to keep their patios and the community clean, yet they literally dumped someone’s belongings in the parking lot and when questioned, they said “we will get to it when we get to it”.
TLDR; This place is a joke. They don’t treat emergencies as such, and treat you like a burden instead. Willie (maintenance) is very friendly and efficient when he’s here, but you have to be extremely persistent in order for management to send help.
If you choose to live here, take photos and keep a written log of all of your belongings for insurance purposes. I live in constant fear of more water leaks either from a storm, the ac, and even bursted pipes (other residents experiences)

Ive really enjoyed living here and if it weren't for a change in job in Houston I would have continued living here, I'm sad to leave it. If you move here make sure to get to know the maintenance guys and the front office people, they are good people and will treat you well.

Ive lived here once before and loved it so much that I ended up moving back! The apartments are spacious and have great views of the forest nearby. Management is really awesome and super friendly, especially Andrea! I honestly wouldn't want to live anywhere else in Austin, this place feels like home the moment you move in. I moved to Forest Creek Apartments in June 2019 from North Austin. I’ve been in Austin for over 2 years and have lived in 3 different apartments and this one is the only one I’ve ever felt really at home. The office is very kind and you can tell they want to help you as much as possible. The neighbors are great and I love how we look out for one another. Soooo Many Cute Doggies Around Too!!

My lease was up at my old complex, and I was looking for a better value while hoping to stay in the same neighborhood (Sherwood Oaks). St. Edwards is very close too, and also easy access to I35. The ladies in the office are super friendly and helpful, as is the maintenance staff. And the other residents that i've met so far have all been awesome. You get a lot for your money here, its worth checking out if you're looking for a new place and want to be in 78704.

The greenspace around it is so serene, and it's only a block away to the Blunn Creek preserve where you can get in nature super quickly. I love how convenient this location is to everything! The freeways are close but not so close that you can hear them. The staff are always positive and very helpful, and the maintenance team takes care of anything that comes up very quickly. Forest Creek Village is a hidden gem among Austin, especially when it comes to the 78704 zip code. Despite being next door to a college and just a few blocks away from IH-35 it has always been a super peaceful and relaxed. My apartment has an amazing view of Blunn Creek from our porch where we get to watch various wildlife. My favorite are the fireflies at night.

The staff has always been amazing, and whenever a new furry friend is becoming part of your family, they love meeting them. Speaking of, this complex does not have a breed or size restriction policy on dogs! Austin is a big rescue town, and being able to give a pet a forever home with you while living in an apartment - all that's required is an interview!
The staff is also super prompt when it comes to maintenance. The building is a bit older so things happen, but when it does happen, the staff is there for you. We had one of the bathrooms flood in our apartment, and the staff did all the clean up - all the furniture moving - to make sure we had a clean place to live.
Life is taking me other places in life, and I'm going to be sad to leave this place. After a year and half of living here, I had really started to settle in. It's an easy place to comfortable in. Maybe one day when I'm back in Austin, my furchild, partner and I can call this place home again.
