Nice apartment, great area....but......

Was there for 1 year, found the apartment nice, clean etc. no issue. Had one maint request, asked three times for the light over the stove to be fixed (was not a bulb) they promised but never did anything. We traveled for work alot and really never fullyu moved in, despite that, contractually had to have carpets cleaned when we left, no problem... we cleanedevery inch of the apartment, weaxed the floors , leaving it in some ways cleaner than we found it. Manager commented that the carpet cleaner ...
service commented the apartment was in "awesome" shape, did the walk through with the manager, no issues identified, and here is the but....when my deposit and partial month refund came back to me there was in excess of 300 dollars in fees for advertising, and get this... cleaning fees and repaintgin fees... we never hung anything on the walls and the place was spotless... they admitted such... yet they still charged the fees. Recommend not worrying about cleaning your apartment when you leave, they will charge you no matter what. Wrote the manager of my disappointment, no reply, so I will leave this review for the benefit of others... as long as you are cool with there being nothing you can do to avoid cleaning and repainting fees, and no maintenance support... the place is in a nice location to stay at. When I consider the stars in this rating, I have to say, just because it is in a nice location, is not representative of the way the place is managed, so location not being a factor in this rating 2 stars, only because Haley was awesome to work with when we were setting up our lease from Asia.

Best apartment community in Rockford

I've had an apartment here since 2004 and can say without a doubt this is a great place to live. The property manager has been the same one since I have moved in and they have been on top of every issue. The pool is a great place to relax in summer, and the walking path on Perryville Rd. is right across the street. Maintenance is resolved within a day, and if it's an emergency issue they respond immediately. It's kept clean and is very safe. The property management will work with you above and ...
beyond on any issue that they have the power to resolve. The fitness room just had brand new equipment installed, they welcome dogs and keep the residents responsible for cleaning up after them. I've even seen a couple of trees that had died and they replaced them within the same year. Lawn care and snow removal is on par with any other community if not better handled. I'm very glad I moved here and would recommend to anyone.

Love living here! We are downstairs in a 2/2. Lots of storage space under the stairs. Nice size laundry room. Plenty of closet space. The patios are perfect size and do not look into someone else's apartment. Convenient to all kinds of shopping and the interstate. Peaceful community where I feel very safe. Management is always on top of any issues. Landscaping is always top notch! Beautiful pool and tennis courts! Staff is great! If I had to have one complaint it would be kitchen cupboard space. ...
