Wonderful place to live
November 6, 2023Founders has been a lovely place to live. The staff at the leasing office is very helpful and responsive, and Stacey with maintenance is incredible. He is always quick to respond whenever I place a work order and was so helpful when we had a water leak earlier in the year. Maintenance always answers the call!

Beautiful Property
March 17, 2022What an amazing place! We’re truly disappointed that we must leave and return north. The apartment homes are gorgeous and beautifully maintained, and the community itself is extremely friendly and quiet. We were really impressed by so many incredible amenities too like the dog wash station (especially since our dog likes to roll in things), gas fire pit, and the grilling stations around the complex. It was like living in a park! There’s also a wonderful plaza up the street with some great ...restaurants and shops that is only a ten-minute walk. The leasing staff are phenomenal too, and truly do care about the residents. We felt that they were always more than willing to go above and beyond to help us with anything we needed or with any concerns we had. Military Family-one of the best places we have lived!
November 16, 2021This is an absolutely beautiful property with the best staff ever. The amenities are wonderful-saltwater swimming pool, free car wash, dog park, and dog bath area. There are barbecue grills with seating areas throughout the property and a very nice walking trail. If you love history, this is the place for you. Historic Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown, & Yorktown are extremely close. Outdoor activities are plentiful- ride bikes on The Capital Trail, boating/kayaking on one of the many rivers, & ...James City County has some of the best amenities/road maintenance I have ever seen. The maintenance staff is phenomenal & quick. In my opinion they go above and beyond anywhere we have lived- and that’s been a lot of places! The ladies that run the property are just plain awesome. We have plenty of Community events, a beautiful clubhouse, and charity events throughout the year. The property is beautifully landscaped & well kept, as are the townhomes. Close to shopping, awesome restaurants, & grocery stores. And….they get how military families function. It was a good 4 years
November 19, 2019I moved out of Founders Village after 4 years on Nov. 1, 2019 only due to medical reasons , I needed a 1 level apartment. Hannah, Stephanie and Belinda and maintenance has always been respectful to me and responded to any of my requests. When I gave them my 60 days notice they were upfront with a checklist of what I needed to do to have the apartment looking as clean as possible. I had no problem with complying and I understood why. Just remember if you move, clean up thoroughly behind ...yourselves and there will not be a problem.Property Manager Responded

Nice location, but pricey.
August 1, 2019I enjoy living here at Founders Village. It is well kept, noise friendly, and is a great location off Monticello, 199, and 64. The major issue I have is the additional monthly fees each month. They charge you for trash, water, pest, a specific renters insurance (which only protects them), random "bill fees," online payment fee, and if you wish to transfer apartments there are at least 2 separate fees for this. Expect to pay an additional $50.00-80.00 added onto your base rent each month. New ...applicants pay an administration fee, deposit, and application fee. We love living in Founders Village
April 16, 2016We have lived in Founders Village for a year, and our experience has been truly fantastic! I want to comment on a few reasons we have been so happy here: 1) The office and maintenance staff are incredibly available and work to quickly answer questions or perform maintenance. We have not had any large issues, but every time we have needed routine maintenance in our apartment it has been handled incredibly quickly and effectively. 2) This is a very quiet and respectful community. Having 2 floors ...is a significant advantage, and we never hear our neighbors. This is very important to us, because having a safe and peaceful living space is our top demand in a community. 3) The amenities are very well kept, and the accessibility to food shopping and entertainment leave us very satisfied with the location. Walking the grounds of the community always feels safe, and we do not have to worry about noise issues at night. The pool, grills and fire pit are really a treat! February 8, 2016Let me state that before I moved to Founders Village I shopped around for months for a place for my son and myself. I lived close to Williamsburg in a neighboring town but wanted to be closer to work. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the property as well as the professionalism of the staff. Each staff member went out of their way to assist me with the many questions and concerns I had about "apartment life". I've been here since September, (five months) and have yet to be ...disappointed. The very first day I moved in I had some minor request for some repairs. A broken blind and a light bulb blown was repaired immediately. There was even a card left with the maintenance contact information left for me in case I had any other concerns. It's the little things like the attention to detail this staff provides that makes living here feel like home. The atmosphere at Founders has always been friendly, concerning, and safe. I speak to my neighbors on a regular basis and everyone I’ve meet are friendly and courteous. The management here goes out of their way to make everyone feel welcomed. They have many “meet-n-greets” at the clubhouse with food and drink for those who want to get to know their neighbors. All paid for and hosted by the management and staff. Resting here is an absolute mistake
December 10, 2015Would give zero stars if possible. Save your money. Calling this luxury is a flat out untruth. Horribly built apartments with paper thin walls. You will hear every noise your neighbor makes. Loud cars and parties constantly throughout neighborhood. Rent is sky high for what they 'offer.'
