July 31, 2023I just moved out of my apartment after living here for 9 months and wanted to share an honest review. Overall living at Fox Grove was a okay place to live. The price of rent was on the lower end, which was nice. My apartment wasn't the nicest place - paint splotches on the walls and cupboards, stains on the counters, a few dents in the wall - but it had new carpet and new appliances and it was overall fairly comfortable. Within my first two weeks I had some plumbing issues, but when I requested ...maintenance they were quick to get in and fix the problems. The people at Fox Grove are really nice and friendly and were helpful the day I accidentally locked my keys in my apartment. I know this will probably turn people away, but the last few months of my time there, I found many spiders, crickets, and other bugs. My unit was on the lower floor (so almost like a half basement), but still that wasn't the greatest experience. And then the last week my next door neighbor played music really really loud at all times of the day (4pm, 11pm, 3am, etc). I mentioned it to Amy in the office when I dropped off my keys and she said she would make him aware of it. In summary, while it wasn't the most amazing place to live, it was comfortable and affordable. Ownership, Management, No Empathy for Tenants
July 5, 2022I thought some things would change when a new management company took over the already badly managed River Apartments. We literally went without water for almost four months! Now the name has been changed to Fox Grove. All I can tell you is that not much has changed. We still cannot use the washer and dryers housed on the bottom floor due to supposedly they can't figure out how to get water to flow? My biggest issue right now is that we're going on week 3 or 4 without any air conditioning. ...When you call the office all they can tell you is and I quote, "We have contractors working and we can't rush them." WTF! But we rush you that rent money every month! The hallway carpets are filthy, there definitely is a bug issue and my greatest fear is that we may go the entire summer without any air in spite of paying rent on time every month. I'm so sick of nonchalant apartment owners and management always making excuses about what they can't do instead of diligently checking on their tenants to make sure things like the air conditioner get fixed. I don't think I'm staying until the lease is up, it's definitely not worth it! So if you're looking for a place to rent, you do not want to live here, believe me!Read MoreReview from Apartments.com
