Do not recommend if you value your health and peace of mind
We moved into Gates Mills Place (managed by K&D Management), and within the first week we discovered bed bug bites throughout the unit. Based on the timing, the infestation was most likely already present before we moved in — but management's first response was to suggest we "may have picked them up from the elevator."
We treated the unit ourselves as thoroughly as possible: professional-grade vacuuming, steam treatment, and two ...
different chemical treatments — the smell alone made the apartment barely livable for hours. Despite all of that, fresh bites appeared again the very next day.
An inspector finally came out today, but treatment has been scheduled for a full week from now. That means we're being asked to continue living — and sleeping — in a unit with a confirmed infestation for another seven days, with no offer of alternative housing or compensation so far.
If you're considering moving into a new unit here, inspect the mattress and furniture carefully before signing anything. I wouldn't wish this experience on anyone — spending your first weeks in a new home covered in bites instead of settling in, and then waiting even longer for help.
