Not the best leasing experience

My experience with this leasing office was extremely disappointing.
From the beginning, the staff could not tell me where my garage would be located or which covered parking spaces were available. While frustrating, I was willing to overlook those issues because I was interested in moving forward with a first-floor Sandpiper unit that I was shown during my tour.

longer available and that there were no other first-floor Sandpiper units available either. This was particularly frustrating because I had been shown a furnished model that was unoccupied, and I had clearly communicated from the start that a first-floor apartment was a non-negotiable requirement.
The entire situation felt like a bait-and-switch. I was shown exactly what I wanted, encouraged to apply, and then told afterward that the unit type and location I needed were unavailable. Instead, I was offered a second-floor unit despite repeatedly stating that I required a first-floor apartment. To make matters worse, there was no acknowledgment of the inconvenience, no apology beyond the basics, and no concessions offered for the mistake.
I understand apartments can be leased quickly, but transparency and accurate information are critical when asking prospective residents to spend time and money on an application. Unfortunately, this experience left me feeling misled and very disappointed.

The apartment you toured was available at the time of your visit. Unfortunately, we cannot control when another prospective resident chooses to apply for the same apartment, as all homes are leased on a first-come, first-served basis.
As outlined in Paragraph 6 of the application, applicants are notified of their application status within 10 days of submission. We appreciate your patience throughout this process.
Regarding the availability of carports and garages, the Leasing Specialist was unable to access the availability spreadsheet during your visit. However, as promised, you were followed up with you today once the information became available.
