Insane pest control issues

ROACH FEST, DON’T SAY NO ONE WARNED YOU. LOOK FOR OTHER APARTMENTS
May 15, 2020I wouldn’t recommend these apartments to my worst enemy. Can’t post pics here but take a look at their yelp and google reviews and you’ll see. Office staff and friends are obviously the reason for the 4-star rating. The roach problem they have is out of control and needs addressing. I literally had to have exterminators come to my apartment 3 times in less than 2 months, and that still didn’t take care of the problem to this day. My bathroom ceiling collapsed twice and maintenance had to come out ...4 times in less than 2 weeks because of this problem. I was without heat for over a month during the winter months, they brought by one tiny space heater as if that was going to do something. I called a 2nd time to tell them about my heating and they decided that bringing a second space heater would suffice. And I have proof of work orders being for all these issues that are mentioned. The only positive things I can say about these apartments are the location, and maintenance comes out pretty quick when called. Avoid at all costs
March 29, 2019Roach and mice are everywhere. They will tow your car if your parking pass falls off of your mirror. The maintenance staff is the only positive. They are very nice and professional. Property Manager is terrible. Washers and dryers are always broken, and there are only 2 of each on a floor with 25 units. People leave their stuff in there for days. Elevators NEVER work. Weed smoke and people yelling and fighting is a common occurance at all hours of the day and night. Hidden fees that they do not ...tell you at the time of signing your lease. Rent is way too high, they raise it all the time. Lived here for 6 years
January 4, 2018Absolutely horrible. I lived here for 6 years. When we first moved in, we had a great time. There used to be plenty of parking, they used to regularly clean the hallways and keep the place well kept overall. But in the past year or so, our apartment became inundated with small roaches that seemed to come from behind our fridge and oven, we found multiple mice living in our HVAC unit and behind our appliances. The parking situation has become unbearable. I’ve seen a few people with 4-5 cars when ...your only allowed to have 2 cars per unit. As a result it was sometimes impossible to find parking in spaces so you had to park in fire lanes and places that made it almost impossible to drive around. The parking lot seems to be a breeding ground for cats. No joke, there are people that live there that feed the cats in the area. The hallways and common areas are disgusting. People just let their dogs pee and poop in the hallways so be careful where you walk. Earlier last year our HVAC unit stopped working so when they put a new one in the hit one of the walls putting a big hole in it, which they refused to fix. From what I’ve learned, they have not had luck keeping a property manager and they seem to have a new one every 6 months or so. Stay away from this place. I Cannot Wait to Move Out
May 20, 2016I was originally so excited to move into Gateway Towers, but my excitement quickly died. Once I got the keys and started to move my stuff in, I realized how gross the unit was. There was still mold growing in my fridge, food crumbs still in the cabinets, the cabinet doors coated in a layer of grease and a oh-so-wonderful sticky feeling while walking across the kitchen floor. I moved in during the winter and after my first night there, I was greeted by at least two dozen box elder bugs that had ...taken a liking to me turning on the heat. I called the office and they told me that they were harmless, but would get an exterminator in...I had to deal with them all winter. Now that the weather is nice, I've already had to take care of three extremely large roaches! I have a cat and fear that one day he will eat one and get sick. I have so many traps shoved under my dishwasher and stove to try to help. I constantly feel like I need to wear shoes in my apartment. Brilliant!!!
September 30, 2015Although I just moved into the Gateway Towers apartments a couple of weeks ago the experience has been nothing but amazing. The staff are very helpful and are always ready to go that extra mile to ensure the tenants are happy. The hallways and corridors are clean, the lawns are well managed and the gym, pool and other common areas are the best I have seen around. Secured and safe, has surroundings for everyone.
July 29, 2015it a good place to live if you need security. You mother could stay here and you will not be afraid to leave her alone. The washers and dryers are on every floor. They are $2.00 each and the dryer is $2.00 and last for one hour. The pool area is secure and children friendly. The dogs are small and quite. We are located across from every highway 95, 291, 76, Walt Whitman bridge. The area has two malls, and 3 great supermarkets along with BJ's. The stadiums ar down the road. There is a clean ...large park with tennis, and baseball, and soccer areas. You are less than 10 minutes from 30th street station. This location has everything. Rain Drops Falling On My Head
August 3, 2015leaks from ceiling in two areas, water running down walls, four buckets on floor , one bedroom, living room, very out dated kitchen oven door held closed with some kind of tape, refrigerator makes a lot of noise, front door you can see through all the way around it, causing high electric bill in summer, floors hard wood with some type of sealant that pills every day, small closets, old tub , sink and shower in tub. A lot of water turn offs sometimes without warning, hallways smokey , dog mess in ...hallways, dog urine in elevators, noisey air conditioning, now spiders, and water bugs.
