  • ROACH INFESTATION!!!

    I got my keys and was informed that my unit had received service for pests. I guess that was true but I saw roaches, dead & alive, all over the unit right away. I gave it a little time thinking the roach kill would kick in but it didn’t! So I informed the complex in Mid-March that my unit was still infested and they tried to blame the issue on my neighbor but stated that pest control would be able to come that Friday to fix the problem. I was willing to be understanding and patient but even after ...
    the 2nd pest servicing in a months time, the roach issue remained & got worse!!! When I informed the office that I was moving out and about the ongoing infestation no one responded to my email on the matter. Then, days later, I received a bulk text message, while at work, that pest control was coming to my building that day. I immediately emailed to ask when the servicing would take place so that I could come put my dog away. No response. (I email so I have record of conversations for legal matters) When I arrived home after 5, there was no documentation to show that my unit was serviced therefore it hadn't been. I have a disgusting amount of video/photos with dates & time stamps of roaches ALL OVER since moving in! (Photos and video on the apartments Google page) They are crawling and pooping on the walls, in my freezer, FROZEN IN MY ICE CUBES, in my refrigerator, in my dog's water bowl, and my pantry, running around in the dishwasher on my clean dishes, and in my bedroom where I should be able to sleep peacefully and not with cotton balls in my ears!!!!!! I am breaking my lease at the end of May & informed them within 30 days. However, I wont even be allowed to leave with any of my own furniture for fear of transporting roaches to my new residence which is already costing me more money! The roaches are coming from within the walls so I have no doubt other residents in my building are also having the same unsanitary issue as I have delt with. I sought out legal advice on the matter and have been advised on what to do since it’s a tenants legal right to live in a pest free environment and that was NEVER the case for me. I could list other things that make staying here not worth it but I’ll leave this post for my personal issue with the unit I was in and the VERY obvious attempt from the front office to avoid facing the fact that my unit is and always was infested with disgusting roaches and that they think “we will send pest control to you” will fix the problem.

  • Predatory Towing

    I have lived at Gateway for 2 years. I wont be there another! 3 guests of mine had their cars towed. These vehicles were registered and even stickered while on property. They were all towed late Sunday night early Monday morning without warning. Don't rent here if you plan to have guests.

  • Go literally anywhere else.

    This is literally one of the worst places you could live. There are roaches and gnats everywhere, but they will lie and tell you the property is clean. People get shot & cars get broken into and stolen here. Neighbors are loud and disrespectful, and office does nothing about it. To top it all off, every single person who works in the office is rude, condescending, and downright useless. They slap you with additional charges for nothing and claim they didn’t do it or that it’s “policy”. I ...

  • Don’t live here if you like running water

    I’ve been living here for one month now and the water, gets shut off weekly at MINIMUM once a week. They claim it’ll be off until 6 and then it doesn’t come back on until 8-9pm sometimes not even until the next day. Sometimes they warn you, other times you wake up to get ready for work and turn on the sink/shower and nothing. Absolutely ridiculous. Don’t move here if you like to take showers!!

    This project literally has trash EVERYWHERE! There are so many drug deals going on within these. People are getting robbed. The new management is extremely rude and unprofessional. They don't respond to safety issues or maintenance request. You never have hot water or they turn the water off completely.. YOU will NOT want to call this your home.. Its not a home you will be scared to leave your apartment at night

    I literally just moved out and I couldn’t be happier. They suck all around. I had a broken shower head and broken toilet and it took them 11 MONTHS to fix it out of the 12 MONTHS I was staying there! Not to mention they don’t communicate with each other in there. The old management was horrible and the new ones are just bad. They are never in the office and never answer the phone and when they do answer, they are rude and disrespectful.   • Horrible new management

    The new management is horrible .(10/22/2021) people in the office are rude and don’t know anything. I call about rent ahead of time just to still be late and have our late fees raise our price. The manger is never there only missy and she don’t know anything. She will say i will call you back but never do at all.     major issue because I don’t get paid around the time the rent is due to put the whole amount on there that’s why I pay ahead of time to make sure the rent is paid. With the old management it was never a problem. It helps a lot .I have stayed here over a year now and last month was the first time i ever have an a problem with paying rent trying to get in touch with them and call them back and forward about it has been a problem and they are no help. Never notified that late fees was getting charged to my account until i looked and i ask them about it they didn’t really care. If I knew this was going to be like this I would have never re-signed my lease with them.

    I have been here a 1 1/2 years now. I will NOT be renewing my lease. They were bought out by some company who does NOT have their stuff together to say the least! No access to accounts/rental payments. No office staff except one nice Hispanic lady who seems to be getting slammed with all the work! The new "manager" doesn't know anything. Has 0 answers. She is NOT friendly at all. I mean they knew they were buying this complex why were they NOT more prepared? Why aren't they appropriately staffed? ...

  • Everyone wants to come home to where they treat you like family!

    Initially, I will admit, I was a bit timid to rent here, but it provided the best location for me (I needed to be close to my grandmother and have convenient access to 45 and beltway). I have lived here for about 6 months now and the property only continues to get better! The office staff is absolutely AMAZING!! They have great communication with the residents and truly care to resolve any issues that may arise! They really treat you like family here at Gateway! I have not had to wait longer ...
    then the end of the day for maintenance to come check out any issues and they always get everything fixed in a timely manner. I’m definitely glad I chose to make Gateway at Ellington my home, this is probably the best decision I have made since moving back to the Houston area a year ago!

  • Amazing place to live, awesome staff

    I have lived here about 3 months, saying it’s a Amazing place to live at would definitely be a understatement, The maintenance staff responds to Work orders immediately, safe friendly area, older apartment but amazing upgrades. Shout out to the apartment manager Charles, he give second chances to individuals, and has an amazing staff that is very attentive to all residents!!!     This is a Very Great Place to live. Everyone is friendly. All the Ladies in the Front Office is so Nice and helpful. Maintenance is always on time. Excellent Management.   • Nice place to live.

    Been here since 2016 and just resigned another year. They are renovating everything so with that always comes issues but every time I have an issue it’s fixed quick. And the maintenance men are always courteous. Office staff are very nice as well.
