Maintenance was negligent and left open the panel to turn off and on the water to the bathtub and my cat got stuck in it because of them. June 25, 2026Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear about your experience and understand your concerns. After reviewing the situation, we found that the access panel was removed by the contractor, during the reglazing process in order to access the water shut-off valves. While we have worked with this contractor for several years without prior issues, we are addressing this matter with them directly to ensure future communication goes through our Maintenance Supervisor so situations like this do not happen again. Once our maintenance team was informed the panel had been left open, they returned to the apartment to properly secure it. We’re also relieved your cat was found safely. There is a section in the pre work instructions that asks for all pets to be secured in a separate room with the door shut. We are reviewing our instructions to see if they can be edited to ensure this step is not missed in the future. This is the first complaint we have received describing the finish ...in this manner, as the product used is a liquid epoxy coating designed to create a smooth surface. The preparation sheet also advises to wait 24 hours before using the tub/shower after resurfacing to allow the coating to fully cure. We appreciate the feedback and will continue working with both our maintenance team and contractors to improve communication and service quality moving forward. I enjoy living in Glen Oaks if i have a problem it gets solved by the maintenance team or the apartment staff. That is a big reason i have decided to stay here. The neighbors i have are another reason i have decided to stay. The neighbors above me and next door to me have about 10 and almost 20 years at Glen Oaks. October 8, 2019 - Review from Apartments.comGood place to rent. I have lived here for almost 3 years. My repairs are addressed promptly. Not always attentively though. Some maintenance guys are more professional and skilled than others. Some maintenance guys like to come into your apartment when you are gone. The apartments are spacious. Otherwise, everything is good in my apartment. I'm pleased with the service I receive from Sherry, Pam, Amber, and every Leasing Agent in the Office. It's a genuinely concerned, responsive team. ...One peeve: The stairways and breezeways could be maintained more often. When I first moved in under a different manager, it was maintained 3-4 times per week. Now there is a new manager who is only concerned about receipts and the bottom line. Overall, I am pleased. You can not control your neighbors, so if you are moving here looking for experiences and true community, this is not the place. We have no problems with anything. We've been here almost 7 years now and had a couple door slammers but that gets nipped in the bud right away.
