I went into the office to request a issue be fixed and noticed the staff was completely different. I thought maybe I'll get the sink repaired before the new year, but then thought nothing changes around here but the faces and put in my request anyway. About four hours later I received a call from the office, I answered thinking about what the excuse would be this time. To my surprise they wanted to know if I was happy with the work that was done. A follow up call, well this was a first and I had ...
no answer for the young lady on the other end of the call. She said she would follow up later, and she did... another first. I was totally happy with the work dome and haven't had any problems with the sink yet.

A horrible place to live

This is the absolute WORST place to live. I've only been here since March and my apartment has black mold all up my hallway wall. There's also a hole because of a leak from who knows where. My bathroom is in my bedroom and it's literally been flooded with sewer water. It's in my bedroom floor and hallway. You can hear the water under the floor boards when you walk. There's a leak in my kitchen sink. I've reported them to the city and they've been fined but nothing has changed for me. I'll have to ...
leave at this point. There are nats all over because of the water leaks. Roaches are everywhere. I have a 10 month old who can't even play on the floor. It stinks everyday and they want to evict me because I refuse to pay to live in this filth.

Started great, ended on a bad note

I would never recommend anyone to live here. We lived at Golden Shores for 7 months. It was a last resort to move into. Everything was great until we went to turn in our notice. In January of 2022 we turned in our notice to move out in February since we had finished school that month and were not residents in Florida. The day after we turned in our notice, we came home to a letter shoved in our door stating that if we didn't pay our early termination fee within the next 3 days we were going to ...
be kicked out. Fast forward to April, we received a call saying that if we showed proof of graduating in February, we would get our early termination fee back, great. Now in May we receive a letter in the mail stating we owe even more money. I tried to get ahold of Golden Shores multiple times with no answer. Finally, I called the lady who contacted us about getting our early termination fee back and she was the only one who helped. I then learn that we are not getting our early termination fee back because we had already paid it. How does that make any sense? They threated to kick us out if we didn't pay it within the 3 days so now I don't get back the money I'm owed because I was responsible? We were great tenants, always paid rent early, never complained, etc. and this is what I get? I would never recommend anyone to live here. I hope management doesn't do this to anyone else.

Avoid moving here at all costs! All the buildings have toxic black mold because of leaks in the roofs that have been there for years.
Sewer pipes will back up about once a month. Takes the maintenance man a couple days to snake out all the buildings, so plan on using a gas station bathroom a couple days a month.
Because the rent is so cheap it attracts a lot of people who are living on government checks. A lot of them are people getting disability checks for mental disorders (at Golden Shores ...
they call that a ‘crazy check’). Some of the people here getting 'crazy checks' need to be in an institution and NOT living here...Case in point; a neighbor of mine who swears there’s a 7' tall man with glowing red eyes in his apartment. Another neighbor is a self admitted schizophrenic who stands in the parking lot yelling at invisible people who she says are trying to hurt her...
Did I mention drug addicts? There are drug addicts living 5 people in a studio apartment so they can spend all their money on drugs not rent. My car has been broken into twice by drug addicts. The police say they can’t help unless I witness them breaking into my car. Both times the drug addicts broke into my car it was in the middle of the night when I’m asleep.
I moved here because I only make $10 an hour and can't afford to live anywhere else. I'm seriously considering living in my car. At least I could park at my job and be away from this toxic mold infected nut house.

I'm in the studio apartment. It's nice and neighbors are single and mostly old. There are a lot of spiders, roaches, and ducks that go bathroom on the walkway to the apartment. But otherwise affordable and a good place to live. No carpet is a plus 4 me.
