Apt in great oaks

Rent is going up every year and those old apartments getting older!

I love it here!
June 12, 2022The properties are well maintained. Everyone is so kind and friendly. Its very affordable. They allow pets. The setting is absolutley beautiful with the mature trees thats surround the properties. Making it park like and a beautiful place to take your furries for loooong walks! The parking lots and sidewalks are well maintained in the winter time. The grass is mowed every week and when something in your apartment needs fixing they are right on it. And last but not least you get fast reliable ...internet for much less then you will any place else! That adds to making it very affordable here! There are laundry facilities in each building. So, you dont even need to waste vaulable gas to run to a laundro mat. Saving even more money!!!Property Manager Responded

Maintenance
March 3, 2022I have lived here almost 18 years. It just keeps getting better. It's my home. I feel safe and maintenance is great. Mark responds quickly, is very knowledgeable, fixes things the right way the first time and cleans up after himself. Awesome! Wouldn't get this anywhere else. Great Service.
December 11, 2020I have lived here for abut a year now and everything has been great except for some neighbors. They play really loud music and don't really care about what you have to say. I've had issues with these neighbors but have received a tremendous amount of help from the offices. Especially one of the agents named Billie she has been great help. If you have any questions give them a call and they usually respond right away. Great service!
April 30, 2019I recently moved in. Although I don’t know much about the area, but I do know that the service here is absolutely amazing! There are three wonderful ladies in the office who are there for you anytime, with any questions/needs! Izabel has helped me a lot in the beginning, so as Billiana&Hely. I’m very thankful. I also have to give a lot of credit to this amazing maintenance guy, Mark. Since day one he has been there for anything I need done in the apartment. One of the worst run apartments I've ever lived in
March 9, 2017Between them losing the only copy I have of my service animal prescription, charging us an extra $10 to use 2/3 of my debit cards because the office put the card in as credit and not as debit (debit fee is $2.95 to pay your rent, otherwise it's a % of the rent to be able to pay it online), and spending two months of barely having internet access, I regret ever moving in. The tub didn't drain when we first moved in, the furnace shorted out a few months after we moved in, the parking lot floods ...every time we get much rain (something they didn't warn us about), and when the patio door handle broke so it could be jimmied open, it took them over a month to fix it. Maintenance men regularly move things off our patio so they can drill into the building or something that is very loud, and they leave boards with nails in them sticking up, stacks of wood, insulation, and when they're done they never return the items to the patio, and they have never once given us notification, even though I have a medical condition which is triggered by loud or repetitive sounds, like drilling into the building for 30 seconds straight, and is excruciatingly painful and lasts for hours. The Great Oaks
September 16, 2015This community is a wonderful place to live if you want a combination of comfortable modern apartment living surrounded by nature. Located just south of the HWY 20 bypass in Rockford, The Great Oaks, has nearby several beautiful forest preserves and carries with it a feeling of living in the country. The residents are all pleasant, the office staff helpful and the community is kept up. They have a pool, a central park area and laundry facilities are in all buildings. Great Oaks
September 9, 2015many buildings,ours is in back with a grassy area a treeline and a cornfield.A few people have seen deer out back.Lotz of trees,most of them big oaks as the name suggests.There is a park area with tables and a couple of grills,this is right next to the inground pool and a volley ball area.We have a 2 bedroom,kinda small but my husband and I manage just fine.We have a touch of country as we are on the edges of town.Review from Apartments.com
