Highly unprofessional management

My roommate abandoned the lease before the lease end. She left with all her belongings. Then this apartment management gave me such a difficult time to get out of lease. They are refusing to accept my move out notice withiut her signature and threatened me that if I move out, they will automatically renew the lease month-to-month and I will have eviction record if I leave. They also tried many ways to coerce me to not to submit move out notice. I had to obtain a legal assistance for the apartment ...
to finally accept my move out notice (needed to send it via certified mail with formal complaint submitted).
They aslo charged me the highest security deposit I've ever been charged, and they sent me a uncashable check to refund security deposit (full depoait amount was on the check but it was not cashabl).
Not worth signing the lease if you want to have a peaceful move out. It was simply shocking how the apartment management handle move out of a good tenant (never pays rent late, left the property as clean as when she came in). Never seen such unprofessionaI apartment management. I strongly suggest not to sign the lease here.
