Building filles with smokefrom cigarettes and marijuana
August 13, 2025These complexes are fill with smoke to the point that there is smoke cigarette soot dripping off the walls in units. Maintenance has is witness and capture photos of soot in unit. Property manager has been made award multiple times my multiple residence. They have no regard for other health. The second hand smoking is just as dangerous as smoking its self. I Do not recommend living here especially if you have children, asthma or if you value your health!Review from Apartments.com

Exercise Extreme Caution
January 18, 2021I was a longtime resident of Greentrees, left at the end of last year. While the time spent was generally satisfactory, there are a few issues worth mentioning. First, two years ago, they had a contractor come into my apartment to re-glaze my bathtub. I was instructed I had to leave the apartment all day because of the fumes and that a maintenance person would be around to supervise. When I returned that evening, 2 cans of coins were missing from my apartment. When reporting this to management, ...their attitude was very evasive and one individual, Christy, I think her name, told me she was friends with the owners of this company and displayed a confrontational attitude. I find it disturbing that management allows their outside contractors keys to the individual units. Next, I had repeated issues with my air conditioner. I was told for years it was going to be replaced. It was finally replaced the last year I resided there (was a resident since 2007). Upon leaving, there was a discrepancy with a water bill; I believe I was overcharged. While an inconsequential amount of money, if such actions are repeated to enough residents, it adds up. I find it interesting that the water company just changed their name. I've called the office repeatedly and emailed corporate, but no answer. There were repeated roof leaks over the years; brought it various roofers, but the problem persisted for some time before it was finally resolved. Every time I complained, the response was generally, "Do you have renters insurance". I advise caution when considering renting from this company.Property Manager Responded

Poor management & maintenance; Rodent problem
June 11, 2019The problems are never ending in these apartments. The management doesn’t address issues tenants have, like us having mice in our apartment for FIVE MONTHS. They don’t fix things that are broken in your apartment. They don’t clean things in the buildings. There’s a list of things that made it a nightmare to live here and I was so happy to move out!Property Manager Responded

October 1, 2018We lived at Greentrees for six years. We could no longer stay as every year they would raise our rent at least $30.00 a month and being on a fixed income they priced us right out of the complex even though we always paid our rent on time. They advertise secure access, our building was not secure. Over the six years we were there it was maybe secure six months. Parking was a hassle as when they built these apartments back in the 70's they did not allow for adequate parking. If we arrived home ...later in the evening we were not able to park near our building. When we moved in the building was quiet but after a while it got to be very noisy and is we complained we were told we complained too much and what did we expect living in an apartment. We were courteous to our neighbors and just expected our neighbors to be courteous back. The outside of the buildings are not very well maintained and after the cluster mailboxes were put in over four years ago the old mailboxes sat duct tape shut, Rotted windowsills outside and railings not very well maintained. We are in a much nicer complex now where we are secure and there is plenty of parking and the rent is much more reasonable.Property Manager Responded

Nice unit, but environment could be better.
April 9, 2017I've been living here for one month, & seriously grieving my 12 month lease. This place is SMELLY. Hallway stink like idk what: pets, b.o. & cigarettes. Halls aren't routinely cleaned, but once they're finally cleaned, it's immaculate. Poor ventilation, my apartment smells like a cigarette factory b/c of a neighbors. I called management regarding the cigarette smell & she didn't return my call. Issue hasn't been addressed, don't think it will be, frankly. My belongings smell like cigarette when ...I leave home. I've never been a smoker, so this is super tough for me. Also 8 months pregnant & don't want to expose my child to this upon arrival. There's one washing machine & one dryer for 8 units. The washer is for small loads, can't wash queen size blankets. Seasoned tenants take the front parking spots ALL the time as if they're assigned. The parking lot floods after heavy rains. Someone likes to throw slices of bread on the lawn to feed the squirrels and birds. Most times the animals say "no thanks" & it's left there soggy & unappealing. Directly off of a busy road & you hear traffic chatter 24/7. Ugh! Need I say more?! Oh! To break the lease... $1,500. The unit itself is decent. The environment could be much better. September 6, 2015Located near Elizabeth Park in Trenton, and close to Eerie Metro Parks, this apartment is close to many trails and parks. Close proximity to multiple shopping centers, and Beaumont hospital Southshore campus. There's a decent sized gym, and a pool. What drew me to Greentrees were the bedrooms, and the layout for the apartment. Whether you're choosing a one bedroom, or two bedroom apartment, the size of each room is great for an adult or a child. August 19, 2015Nice clean two bed room, one bathroom, kitchen, dining room, and beautiful grounds. With very little to complain about in terms of quality. I would recommend this as a good starter for anyone who is looking for reasonable place to rent. Lastly I have found the apartment to be very well with little to no maintenance needed.
