November 22, 2025If you like elevators that work, like reliable running water, and do not like living in a construction zone - this place is not for you. The Platform has been in shambles since Griffis Properties took over. DO NOT RENT HERE. The front office folks are kind and do what they can to assist residents, but they are handcuffed by this horrible corporation. If you are looking for real answers from the corporate office - good luck. They have appointed a gatekeeper to block all communication to the ...corporate office. To add detail, almost all amenities are shut down here, with all the construction noise you CANNOT work from home here. You are still billed for common area utilities, when the common areas are not accessible, the building is 21 stories with 278 units and has 2 working elevators at most (sometimes one) - so add 30 minutes commuting to your car and back to your home. There have been no credits to existing residents during the "renovation" to the building. Take a tour and you'll witness it for yourself.Property Manager Responded

This is not the experience we want for our residents. We also want to acknowledge the ongoing elevator concern. One of our elevators has been out of service for an extended period, and we know this has added time and inconvenience to daily routines. Our team is actively working with our third-party vendor to complete the necessary repairs and ensure the elevator meets all safety inspection requirements before returning it to service. We recognize that operating with two elevators can slow things down, but resident safety will always be our top priority. Renovation and improvement projects can create temporary disruptions, but our goal is to complete them as efficiently as possible while keeping residents informed and supported. Home Away from Home
June 14, 2024I live here part-time and wanted a place that I could call home as I travel a lot for work. I knew I wanted to stay by union station for the convenience of the train to the airport and the free 16th mall bus as I do not drive. I looked at 8 different buildings and just kept coming back to the Platform. The residents here are amazing and the resident events the staff put on are incredible. It seems there is one every other week and chair massages for residents every other Thursday. Yoga too! I ...can't say enough about this place and the convenience of the location. The management truly makes sure that you are taken care of, and maintenance requests are completed in the same day or next. LOVE IT HERE!!!Property Manager Responded

Don't care about maintaining residents
August 22, 2022When it came time for renewal it was over budget but I am not upset about that. What I am upset about is them listing it for over $100 cheaper than they offered me a renewal for. Once I asked them about this they told me it was a mistake and that I could have it for what it was listed as. I considered it but it was still a little above my budget so I told them no. I look and AGAIN it is listed for lower than the second price they offered. Not once have i been late on rent or had any kind of ...complaint, so I can only believe that they don't care about keeping their residents. Not what it used to be.
July 15, 2020Although the location and amenities can be a big positive for this building, the day-to-day negatives bring it down. Things to be aware of: The staff turns over a lot and they aren't exactly the best at communication. Don't live on the 14th floor. You will hear people drop weights in the gym all day, and the leasing office is super reluctant to do anything significant to mitigate this. You will also have to deal with drunk people using the pool at 2am and screaming their heads off waiting for ...the elevator. You'll have to pay anywhere from $50-100 more each month in utilities. The building charges its residents for common area utilities. They also won't inform you when they increase the percentage they charge you. You have to pay a $5 fee every month just for a third party to manage these utilities and the bills. You will be charged for lightbulbs when they need to be changed. First time I've ever lived in a building that does this. It used to be a cool residence for early adopters of living downtown.
