February 3, 2026My review is too long to fit… Absolutely terrible. Money trap for anyone who lives there. The other reviews talking about the fees are true. especially dont live there if you have pets. you get nothing back for them none of the money you pay goes towards anything and they send your bill to collections immediately with no notice. Please find someone else to live! Need to do better at explaining prices and being upfront.Property Manager Responded
February 9, 2026We appreciate all feedback from our current and former residents. While we are unable to discuss specific account details in a public forum, we’d like to share general information about our move-out process. Upon move-out, residents may be charged for damages beyond normal wear and tear, including any pet-related damage. Monthly pet rent does not apply toward or offset repair costs. Prior to move-in, residents sign a Schedule of Charges that outlines potential fees for cleaning or damages assessed at move-out. Former residents are not immediately sent to collections. A final statement is provided within 30 days of move-out, and former residents have an additional 30 days to dispute charges. All assessed charges are documented, including photos taken at move-out. If a balance remains unpaid and no communication or payment arrangements are made, accounts may be referred to a third-party collection agency approximately 60–90 days after move-out. Our team makes every effort to work with ...residents to resolve balances and answer questions before any further action is taken. It is never our goal to have unhappy residents, and we wish you the best in your next community.

Great Community Atmosphere
August 21, 2024After owning a home for almost 30 years I decided to sell and rent! My son and I moved to The Plantations at Lafayette in late May of 2024. We absolutely love it. The staff has been very hospitable and attentive to our needs. The apartment is clean and quiet. The maintenance crew has been great. I feel safe here. We are close to many great restaurants and stores. There is definite room for some grounds improvement and updating exterior items, but for the most part, they are in great shape! The ...inside of our apartment was updated. Love the garden tub and large master closet!Property Manager Responded

Don’t do it*****
May 1, 2018I would put zero stars if it let. Save yourself some money and go rent a house, townhouse or condo from an actual person who cares about their renters. This is a big corporate money hungry company and will squeeze every penny out of you when you try to move out at the end of your lease. And then add on a $1,000 cleaning fee no matter how clean your apartment was when you moved out.Property Manager Responded
June 7, 2019Reviews such as these leave me very conflicted. I always like to take the reviews seriously and respond as such but there are so many flagrant inaccuracies in this review it is difficult. We are not a big corporation. We are a family owned business and never charge exuberant fees upon move-out. In fact, when you move-in you sign a Schedule of Charges that outlines what you will be charged for at move-out if you damage any items or don't leave the apartment in the same condition you received it in. We do not charge for normal wear and tear. We have a great team and our property is truly exceptional. I hope that people will take this review with a grain of salt and stop by the community to judge for themselves.

July 27, 2015I've lived here a year now, and have really enjoyed staying here. It's a family friendly and dog friendly community. It's a quiet area but has very nice amenities that I have found great on multiple occasions especially the gym, computer lab, and conference room.Property Manager Responded
